I'm sure Rey Rey in turn, prefers to meet knowledgeable fans who recognize and appreciate his in-ring genius and his sincere love of children.

Will it be one of those events where you have to buy something to get it signed or can one bring one's own memorabilia to have signed?

This is only a few steps from the Addison St. Blue Line stop. You can get right on and go to Dragon's Gate right after the show.

On WWE.com, it says Rey is doing the Chicago appearance to promote his new autobiography, so I'm reasonably certain you have to buy his book (to meet him and get it signed.) At wrestler book signings, sometimes you can get other items signed for each book purchased; sometimes only the book can be signed.

From what I read in the Sun-Times, you have to buy the book or $35 of K-Mart merchandise to get a autograph wristband and get signed. There's a 200 limit.

If you haven't seen my "Hot Picks" column in today's (1/22) SouthtownStar yet, the article on Page 7 of the Weekend guide features information on the Rey Mysterio signing in Chicago as well as a photo of the WWE superstar. You can check out the online version of the article at: www.southtownstar.com/entertainment/firstlook/virtusio/2004690,012210HotPicks.article I'm also looking for comments on my "Elaborating on Entertainment" blog topic titled "From the Readers: Pro wrestling vs. MMA and boxing" at: blogs.southtownstar.com/entertainment/2010/01/from_the_readers_pro_wrestling.htmlA few notes about using the "Leave a comment" feature on the blog: -- While there is a field asking you to provide your e-mail address, that e-mail address will not be shown to the public once your comment is posted. -- The grey Captcha box sometimes trips up people because it's hard to see and very particular about the characters being typed in exactly. To be on the safe side, you should copy your text elsewhere before hitting the Submit button in case the Captcha kicks out your comment. -- If you've used the "Leave a comment" feature correctly, you'll get a message saying that your submission is pending approval. Note: I approve all non-spam comments as soon as I see they have been submitted.
