Pro Championship Wrestling was back in action at the Don Preston Rec Center in Midlothian, IL. It was a record crowd as we continued on the road to Dream Night.
MIDWEST CHAMPION
Chris Styles(c) w/Jenna Monroe def. "Party Animal" Wally Wilde"
It looked like Wilde had Styles beat with a frog splash, until Jenna distracted referee Patrick G. Wilde then walked into a running flatliner for the pin.
Afterwords, Whiplash and PL Myers came out and Whip ran down his former tag partner as a loser. He then revealed they were actually family and that Wally's own kids looked up to Whiplash more than their dad. This sent Wally into a rage and he beat on Whiplash until the Chicago Connection came to the ring and laid him out.
Rion Skillz def. Uzi Akiva
The men were very evenly matched but Rion picked up a win over the Foreign Exchange member. Uzi argued with practically every audience member on his way out.
Paul Myers came out and brought out the legendary Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to a standing ovation. Paul told how proud he was that Bobby had written the intro to Paul's book and that they were inducting Heenan into the PCW hall of fame. Heenan called Paul a "hell of a guy" and thanked the audience.
December def. Serenity
The PCW newcomer put up a valiant effort against the former Womens champion, but December got the win with an impressive jawbreaker.
TAG TEAM TITLES
Chicago Home Wreckers def. Butcher & Jarod Priest(c)
There was hardly any match to speak of. As the Butcher came out, he was blindsided by his tag partner who hit him from behind with a tag belt. Priest destroyed the Butcher with a series of cane shots and then finally delivering the OMEN, face plant onto his tag title. Mac and Marx slid into the ring and pinned the Butcher for the three count.
After intermission a party was set up in the ring. Eric Marx and Johnny Mac came out celebrating their win. This was interrupted by YOUTH GONE WILD [Matt Creed and Tom Heisman]. Matt Creed then informed the Chicago Home Wreckers that since he won last month's tournament he was cashing in his title shot at Dream Night for their tag team titles. YGW then spit champagne in the Home Wreckers faces and beat them up and then threw them out of the ring.
HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
"Master Technician" Jay Phoenix def. "Hot Bod" Shawn Davis(c)
Davis seemed to have things working in his favor when he brought back Lou Tufano, who'd been out since Jay Phoenix attacked him, as the referee. Tufano immediately banished the other members of the Chicago Connection. It was a very back and forth match with both men kicking out multiple times. But Phoenix got the clean win with a harsh powerbomb that ended Davis's record-length title run.
GLADIATOR BOWL
WINNER: JOE HEISMAN
Joe Heisman entered at number one but easily spent half the bowl on the outside of the ring. This saw the PCW return of the likes of JtW and Aaron Cruise. The PCW debuts of Johnny V, Ash Sanchez, Jimmy Karat, Geoffrey Percival Astaire III and NBK.
The final group consisted of: Whiplash, Rick Knight, Santana Starks, JT Simmons, Wally Wilde, JTW and the Butcher.
The Connection turned on Simmons tossing him out.
Wally, Butcher & JTW then eliminated the Connection members.
JTW then threw out Wally, when Joe Heisman finally got back in the ring.
Heisman threw Butcher into JTW who was on the apron knocking him off and then threw out Butcher for the win.
