5/14 TNA in Hammond, Ind.: Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy vs. A.J. Styles for the TNA Title, Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Jarrett, Kazarian vs. Brian Kendrick for the X Division Title, The Beautiful People vs. Taylor Wilde and Sarita

TNA house show
Hammond, Ind. at the Hammond Civic Center

I walked into the Hammond Civic Center to hear Jeremy Borash hyping up the already hot crowd. I looked around to find an impressive crowd, easily the size of the Impact Zone with a few empty seats here and there. I really wish they would run in more recognizable cities like Indianapolis compared to Hammond, but I digress.
Earl Hebner opened the show coming out and doing the Bret Hart shrug in the ring. He then took his referee shirt off to reveal his new shirt, which was on sale for 10 bucks at the merch stand.
1. Kazarian beat Brian Kendrick with the reverse piledriver in an average match. The crowd cheered for the offense of both wrestlers, I guess Kendrick isn't established as a heel everywhere.
2. Abyss defeated Desmond Wolfe with the Black Hole Slam. Chelsea was not in attendance, and I thought it was weird they would put Abyss on the card after Thursday's angle.
3. The Beautiful People (w/Madison Rayne) over Taylor Wilde and Sarita. Velvet Sky got the pin on Wilde after Lacey Von Erich sprayed poisonous hair spray in Wilde's eyes. I would recommend a TNA live event exclusively for the Beautiful People. They are incredible to the eyes.
4. Jeff Jarrett defeated Mr. Anderson with The Stroke. Lots of entertaining mic work with Jarrett and Anderson before the match. Borash introduced Don West's parents who were in attendance.
Intermission with Jarrett, Hebner and Beautiful People signing autographs
5. Ink Inc. over Beer Money Inc. This match was entirely forgettable. The teams are fine but I just don't know why I should care about their feud.
6. Rob Van Dam defeated AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy in a Triple Threat to retain the TNA Title. RVD won with a frog splash on AJ. Very entertaining match with a much more different feel than Thursday's show.
Notes: The crowd was hot the whole time. Borash offered a ton of backstage passes at this show, and had Jeff Hardy, Jarrett, and Abyss come out for pictures and autographs. Hardy's was 20 bucks a picture with a trip in the ring. Borash announced they'd be back in July and even teased that a PPV could be there in the future.
