Where were the other 150 people? I'm sorry but I doubt my headcount was off by THAT much.

Wow, perhaps people gave us extra money in the gate box. Certainly was nice of them. My wife apparently can't count ticket stubs either. (/sarcasm)

Or 150 people bought tickets and forgot to show up... All right, my quick thoughts about the show... No Sid Vicious. Bad weather in the area had officials monitoring the radio as tornadoes wrecked Streator. The "dark match" should had been a part of the main show. Lamar Titan has the Kofi look to him. Marx came over from GALLI it looks like. It was a good fast-paced tag match. ***1/2 Justice Jones was whining and complaining about his opposition not being there or wussing out...Samurai came out to challenge and beat him quick. *1/2 Yabo the Clown...Ninja Bill should had grabbed his ties and twirled him in the air. And Yabo's no Doink. This should had been the pre-show match. *1/4 Austin Roberts apparently has to beat every member of the A-List to get another title shot...how many is that...two? Hades went down and Juice Robinson is next on the list. ***1/4 Dan Lawrence...didn't HE lose a loser leaves town match at Dreamwave? And there he is wrestling for the DWW Alt title! Lawrence was no match for Boz... *** Juice and Rylan Foxx dominated Marshe Rockett for 80% of the match and did everything possible to keep him from tagging Mr. 450 in, but when Mr. 450 finally got the tag Marshe attacked Mr. 450 for no particular reason and joined up with the A-List. Marshe's has turning into a bad guy everywhere he goes of late, maybe that's why. So now Roberts has to face him too. Maybe Brubaker is gonna keep adding members to the A-List so he can keep avoiding him. Foxx didn't do much other than kick and stomp. **3/4 Big Money I guess is a new duo, the play by play team kept underestimating Zero G when Marc Houston was in the ring. Johnny Kash wanted the glory for himself at the end and got pinned. ***3/4 Familiar opponents The Hybrids have been announced as the next challengers for Zero G's tag titles but If Looks Could Kill jumped both teams leading to the Hybrids running them off. Rylan Foxx kept interfering in the Brubaker vs. Vega match which the ref should had thrown him out or called for a DQ. Brubaker threw a low blow to win. This was the first good GT Vega match I've seen. ***1/2 You already know how I feel every time I hear loser leaves town...there was some crazy sick stuff in this match. Ali was backdropped over the corner and through a ladder. He was also side suplexed from the top rope down to the floor. Acid ate a Van Daminator in a ladder and chair sandwich. He was also dropped through a chair and ladder. But the end came with the Dragonfly through the table. It's a wonder either man isn't seriously injured or carted off on a stretcher. Match of the year candidate. ***** Paul Bearer, Steve Mongo McMichael and Tyler Black have been announced as future guests at Dreamwave.

Sounds like a fun show....I would not pay to see Mongo in any light and Tyler Black as a guest has got to be a joke. He is no star, good talent but no better than the rest of the guys in that locker room and no more exposed either.
As for loser leaves town? I thought this was a retirement match. If this is legit then to bad. Ali was one of my favorites from back in the day although I think he was less spotty and much better in his earlier days. I have a hard time saying someone this young and under exposed can call this a retirement so I will just look at it as he quit.

I can assure you that it was a retirement match and Prince Mustafa Ali won't be wrestling anymore. This isn't a storyilne, it's the real deal. The atmosphere last night was one of the most emotional things I've ever been a part of. Ali has his reasons for retiring, as he said in his promo last night "When I have a hard time getting out of bed or standing up out of a chair, I knew it was time to hang it up." He will still be involved with DREAMWAVE in other capacities, just not on camera. As for Tyler Black being a "special guest", that is incorrect. The video that aired last night said he was "making his DREAMWAVE debut August 7th."

Tyler has worked big shows. PPV main event's all over the country, Japan, etc. I just read a feature on him in Pro Wrestling Illustrated the other day. No one else on that roster has that kind of exposure. Just a fact. Also, props to Ali for leaving the ring on his terms. I always thought he was a real talented guy and best of luck to him.

It was a great show and I was honored to have seen Ali's final match. He was always a great worker and interesting character and I wish him all the best.
Tyler Black is one who keeps getting better and better. He's one of the better talents in the Midwest area. The DREAMWAVE fans who aren't familiar with him are in for a treat.
Lamar Titan and Joey Marx gave a great match and hopefully they will be back again.
It was a very emotional show with both Ali's retirement and the tornado hitting Streater. I sat next to a family who had lost their home and my prayers go out to them.

I heard Streator was in even worse shape than "Streater (sic)." It appears poor "Mr. 450" was again jinxed by that obnoxious Fan Club he's saddled with. Did Mr. Boz show up with the CLPW Title belt he won under dubious circumstances?

Just in case there is any confusion, as JayRep pointed out above, Tyler Black is not being promoted as a "special guest" on our August 7 show "Adversity". The video that aired Saturday night stated he was "making his DREAMWAVE debut"
Tyler is debuting as part of the DREAMWAVE roster of talent NOT as a "guest"...

Mongo is an oddity...I wanna see him more b/c I am a Bears fan than a wrestling fan & FAR more respectful of his work on the field than in the ring...but still think it'd be cool to see him.

They're promoting him as the special guest. They promoted him as a new wrestler debuting for the promotion and gave him his due for what he's accomplished in the sport. They gave him a quick video package just like they do any debuting star of DREAMWAVE and the commentary team hyped him. There was an equal ammount of hype for Black as there was for Mason Beck. They're not promoting him as a guest, but another talent on the roster. However, they're still doing a good job of making him seem special. A great job by DREAMWAVE in promoting this talent to the hardcore fans and casual fans that only go to DREAMWAVE. Oh, and to Crimefighter's defense my friend and I did try to mess with him as we saw him doing his headcount... the headcount he started before 7... while people were moving around ... and not counting the people standing at the bar... and the merch stands... but I'm sure Jayrep is right, his wife must've just miscounted ticket stubs and all the fans must've given extra money just because DREAMWAVE puts on such kick ass shows. No one cares about how many people were at the show Crimey except for the promoters and they already know the answer.

Ahem, I included the people at the bar and those walking around, and my posted count was the last one I did at 7pm. If another 150 walked in remaining seats around me would had filled up...they did not. Don't get me wrong, 300 people in the house is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't get the 50% inflation of the draw.
