It was a wild and action packed night at PCW's debut in Hometown, IL at Hometown Fest! In a rare outdoor show, fans were treated to an evening of hard-hitting and entertaining matches from PCW's wrestlers. Here are the results:
"The Party Animal" Wally Wilde defeated Aaron Cruise
In this opening contest, Wally Wilde captured a win against the recently returning Simmons, Inc member Aaron Cruise with his Last Call frog splash.
Eric Marx defeated Wilhelm Flannigan
These two high-flyers put up a fast-paced fight, but it was ultimately Eric Marx who got the upper hand on young Wilhelm Flannigan for the win.
Afterwards, Eric Marx's tag team partner, the arrogant Johnny Mac came to the ring and declared himself the lord and ruler of Hometown and promised the crowd they would see much more of him later on that night.
Rion Skillz defeated NBK
Rion Skillz' mat technician skills were evident and proved to be successful in getting a win against the Gen Pop member.
Geoffrey Percival Austere defeated Robert Micheals via countout
The highly intelligent and conceited Austere had quite a battle before him with the 300+ pound Robert Michaels. Althought it seemed Austere was sure to be broken in half by Michaels, Austere used conniving strategy and got the win via countout, and was able to keep his winning-streak alive.
The Chicago Connection defeated JTW and Stryc-9
The crowd was on fire for this one. In what was called one of the best Chicago Connection matches ever, newly teamed JTW and Stryc-9 were beaten by Connection members Whiplash and Santana Starks.
"Main Event" Josh Christian won via DQ over Hammet
In his PCW debut, Hammet used dirty tricks in an effort to stop the charismatic Josh Christian. After the referee was knocked out, Hammet tried to cheat to get the win. However, another referee came from the back after seeing the footage and reversed the decision to the thunderous applause of the crowd.
The Butcher defeated Jarod Priest
The Butcher and Priest had been feuding for quite some time, and this match was the culmination of months of agitation. This wild brawl extended to the outside of the ring, with Priest launching The Butcher into a steel fence. After some savage blows back and forth, the match came to an end with The Butcher hitting his Diamond Duster. After the 1-2-3 on Priest, The Butcher hit Priest with his meat tray, laying out the man responsible for the bloodiest feud this year and garnering a massive cheer from the audience.
December defeated Sara Jay to retain the Women's Championship
In another PCW debut, the Australian newcomer Sara Jay was clearly the crowd's favorite, with December gaining no fans as she stomped and screamed inside the ring. Sara Jay started out strong with a series of high flying clotheslines, but December shortly took over. The end came when Sara missed a big splash and December hooked the tights (without the referee seeing) for the win.
Youth Gone Wild defeated Simmons Inc to retain the Tag Team Championship
Young Tom Heisman and Matt Creed continue to impress and were victorious in their title defense. Despite the multiple distractions of manager Jenna Monroe and the dirty tactics of group leader JT Simmons and big Leon Tatum, Heisman and Creed were able to successfully hold on to their titles, much to the approval of the crowd.
"Hot Bod" Shawn Davis defeated Johnny Mac in a lumberjack match
Johnny Mac and Shawn Davis are no strangers, having competed in several matches together. While the two men have always demonstrated in-ring skill, the stakes were certainly different this time, with several PCW superstars at ringside as lumberjacks to enforce the match. The crowd was definately behind Davis, as they wanted to see someone shut Johnny Mac's big mouth and deflate his huge ego. They got what they wanted when Davis got the win over Mac. Afterwards, an enraged Johnny Mac attacked the mayor of Hometown, who then clotheslined Mac. The mayor had Johnny Mac arrested much to the crowd's approval. Mac was handcuffed in front of the cheering crowd and dragged screaming to the locker room by Hometown's finest.
