Interesting way to put down Smothers. seriously? Yes. Seriously. That statement about Smothers is moronic.

Other commitments have developed for Tracy Smothers and he will not be able to attend this show. We feel that our more knowledgeable fans will be able to decipher what this means for Tracy. Tracy Smothers is part of the long list of wrestlers that are often listed on cards without ever being booked. IWA-MS is not the only fed that does this. It happens all over. This is how I decipher the statement "our more knowledgeable fans will be able to decipher what this means for Tracy."

Ian isn't a guy I'd defend these days, but to say you're pulling for straws is like saying a clown wears big shoes. The obvious allusion is that Tracy Smothers is terrible at keeping commitments. I think he's missed as many bookings in the past ten years as he's actually made.

There is no need to argue over Ian Rotten semantics.
All I care about is getting my money back for the canceled 2009 TPI.
Time to go back to the mailbox and wait for the mailman.

Are you telling me there are people who are still waiting for refunds?!?

I would guess that the majority of people are still waiting for refunds. That is the reason why I have not been to an IWA show since 3/2009. As many people know, I went to the majority of IWA shows from 2003-2009. I drove to Indianapolis (plainfield) many many times. I even flew to Philly for IWA.
I guess keeping my $65 for TPI was way more important to IWA than all the shows I would have bought tickets to after that.
Oh well.

He spent the $65 bucks thinking he was going to receive what he spent that money on. He did not receive what he purchased. A cash refund should be given. End of story.

Maybe Tracy doesn't want to make the drive up for money he will never get or a check that will never show up.

I believe you are correct! He canceled his booking for Lafayette, IN. on Sunday as well. If this is the case, then why wouldn't IWA just state that?
