"Summer in the Park" was a smashing success for the town of Cicero and POWWEntertainment. Poww delivered a great show with one of the reps for the park said 1300 people attended.
The show opened with an over the top rope battle royal with World Champ Brandon Bishop being the last man standing and taking home the victory. Bishop and Rex Hart, the last two remaining entrants, battled till Bishop tossed Hart through the ropes....but Hart refused to re-enter the ring giving the win to Bishop by forfeit.
The Great Malaki w/Cheyenne & Xavier, was in total control of Jack Carpenter. What seemed like easy pick-ins for Malaki turned into a loss as Carpenter surprised Malaki with a roll up as Malaki and Xavier were exchanging words. Afterwards The Sinmates run in with Dienamite and attack and beatdown Malaki. All the while each member taking turns holding back Cheyenne. Carpenter runs back in and tries to help his opponent only to be met with the same fate. Finally Crossing and Spade with weapons in hand , clear the ring.
A six man tag saw Diamond Steel, Kanoa and Ruthless Ramon beat the members of the Hell Fire Sin-Phony, Xcon/Dehok and Dienomite when Steel pinned Dienomite.
A Melanie Cruise leg drop off the top rope proved too much for Taylor Made. Cruise looking to even the score from the previous night loss, thanks to ODB, TRACI BROOKS,SO CAL VAL and Gorgeous George, walked away with the pin and win.
In the big three way, tag team event, Happy and Homeless (Cousin Eddie/Chris Cairo) were awarded the victory when Psychotic Rage (Psychotic Jimmy Blaze/The Rage Mitch Blake) and Noize, Booze & Tattoos(Scott Spade/Ruff Crossing) were disqualified as they brawled in the ring knocking down the ref twice. After the match, still brawling, Blaze and Blake nail N.B.T. with baseball bats leaving them a bloody mess.
Rex Hart stated weeks ago he was going to take the Poww World belt away from Brandon Bishop. The Massive Canadian over powered Bishop with his size and strength looking for the right moment. That he did......Hart pinned Bishop becoming the new Poww World Champion.
