For those that may have missed it, KEITH SMITH and I joined THE CRIMEFIGHTER on last week's edition of THE NOSE BLEED SEATS broadcast and discussed at length 'The Open-Door Policy' that we have embarked upon here in the MMWA-SICW and what it means for the future of independent professional wrestling... I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU CHECK IT OUT AND HEAR EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY!!!
AUGUST 19TH, 2010
823 State Street
East Carondelet Community Center, East Carondelet, IL
5PM -
The Open-Door Try-Outs are open to those that are 18 years of age and are looking to become a part of an exciting new direction for WRESTLING. Wrestlers, referees, announcers, valets, technical support, etc. with experience a plus, but not required. THERE WILL BE NO POLITICS INVOLVED and we ask that you arrive with an open mind and be ready!
There will be some paperwork involved - bring a current ID and your license (if registered with a State Athletic Commission*), any promo materials you may have for obtaining bookings (resumes, promo pictures, matches on tape or dvd) and your gear. A sampling of your in-ring and on-camera skills will be required and we are going to assess you mainly on these key points...
THERE ARE NO FEES OR CHARGES INVOLVED TO TAKE PART
THIS IS NOT A LIVE WRESTLING EVENT AND IT IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC!!! Friends, family members and associates that are not participating will not be admitted --- NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
The event is being hosted by HERB SIMMONS, TONY CASTA, KEITH SMITH and TIM MILLER, with various members of our staff and cooperating partners on hand to assist. Question and answer session will take place before the try-outs start. Again, be ready!
As I have explained before, an expansion and growth process is underway from St. Louis to Chicago to Detroit and dots all over the wrestling map! Very real opportunity is becoming available to QUALITY talent and steps are being taken to solidify wrestling and return the regional and territorial groups to the successful ways of days past! These are exciting times and believe me when I tell you that another OPEN-DOOR TRY-OUT probably won't happen again in the near future and you don't want to miss your chance!
There are people working together behind-the-scenes that most thought would NEVER work on anything together! From ROH and TNA to promotions as far away as Florida and Colorado, the MMWA-SICW Open-Door Policy is being talked about! Two wrestlers from Japan - NO BULL#$@! - have pre-registered and plan on joining the roster! When we tell you this thing is BIG...
Again, be sure to check out THE NOSE BLEED SEATS for our interview and we hope to see you on AUGUST 19TH!!!
Tim Miller
Executive Producer, MMWA-SICW Wrestling
One detail that needs emphasis - you do not need a Missouri wrestling license to participate in this tryout.
If you make the roster you will have to get a Missouri license if you take part in shows on the Missouri side of the river...
