Thanks for the capacity crowd that attended last night's event!
RESULTS:
1. "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt defeated "The Right Price" Aaron Masterson by submission following the Kansas City Crossface. Immediately following the bout, Genesis members Todd Countryman, Casanova and Devin Carter walked to the ring. Wyatt quickly grabbed a chair, assuming he was about to be attacked, but Countryman explained how much they respect Wyatt and offered him the opportunity to be the newest member of Genesis!
Wyatt responded "I'll think about it..." and simply walked from the ring. Watch the next episode of Outside the Ring when it's released for more on this dramatic situation.
2. American Ground & Air (Ben Sailer & Nate Bash, representing Genesis) beat Sir Bradley Charles & "The American Fury" Jon West after Charles was pinned by a rollup from Bash, who had his feet on the ropes.
3. The Mauler (w/ Chad Mylan) beat Knight Wagner following a piledriver. The Mauler viciously assaulted Knight as he made his entrance to the ring, destroyed him throughout the short match and continued the assault after the bout until Mylan finally called him off.
4. 3XW Pure Wrestling championship - "The Rockstar" Jimmy Rockwell won the title for the third time, pinning "The Laotian Sensation" Ricky Kwong with a moonsault off the top rope. Kwong's MMA associates, Chad Mylan and The Mauler, attacked Rockwell following the match, only for Rockwell to duck a Kwong superkick that floored the Mauler and allowed Rockwell drop Kwong. Rockwell quickly punched Mylan, laid him on top of Kwong, and delivered a Rock-On Bomb off the top rope onto both men, finally getting complete revenge.
5. Casanova, "Delicious" Devin Carter & Steve Biley (representing Genesis) defeated "Smoother" Ryan Slade & The High Flyers (Mike Sydal & Zach Thompson) after Carter pinned Sydal following a 3D by Carter and Casanova.
Leading to the end was Slade running back out to the ring after he had previously bailed to the locker room following a dispute with his unlikely partners. After a flurry offense on Carter and Casanova, Slade had Biley set up for a neckbreaker, only for A.J. Smooth to run down to the ring and distract Slade. Slade let go of Biley and chased Smooth to the locker room.
This led to the High Flyers to facing 3-on-2 odds for minutes - after a flurry offense, with Thompson down outside the ring and suffering from damage accumulated outside the bout, Carter quickly reversed a Sydal move and Casanova slid in to deliver the 3D.
6. Shane Hollister beat Rebelucha by pinfall after a unique leghook-facebuster move.
7. 3XW Tag Team championship - The Horndogs (Krotch & Maddog McDowell w/ Skylar Pierce) successfully defended the titles over "Sexier" A.J. Smooth & "Torturous" Tony Sly (representing Genesis) following a Horndog Drop for the pin. After events earlier in the evening, Ryan Slade returned to the ring and went at it again with Smooth. Following the match, Slade took the microphone and challenged Smooth to a 1-on-1 match at March's event and Smooth accepted!
8. 3XW Heavyweight championship - Brian Ash remains champion after his defense against "The Ironman" Mark Sterling was ruled a no contest after both men brawled wildly outside the ring area. Controversial and crazy finish to this bout, as the referee ruled Ash just got his hand under the bottom rope after it appeared Sterling pinned him following a spear. Ash rolled out of the ring and Sterling stalked after him, leading to the wild brawl.
Immediately following the match, Genesis members Devin Carter, Casanova, & Steve Biley hit the ring and jumped Sterling, leading to Zach Thompson, Mike Sydal & Ryan Slade, of all people, to make the save and fight off the Genesis forces.
It's now clear that 3XW's young stars are banding together to fight off the forces of Genesis.
