AAW returned to 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park for "EPIC." At least 250 in the building, maybe closer to 275-300. Not as high as last time here. I guess Screech was a bigger draw than I thought.
Billy Corgan brought out the BWO, and they argued who from the 90s was more relevant today. Billy went heel and tried to give some tough love. This brought out the FRANCHISE, who called Dixie Carter a bimbo and claimed Paul Heyman was an idiot when it came to a buck. Billy was put in charge, made the first match:
1) Awesome Threesome d. Nova/Blue Meanie in 8:58 thanks to Eryn's distraction and Macintyre hitting Nova with a foreign object.
Silas Young called Stevie Richards a garbage wrestler and Mason Beck said somebody was going to F'n die. So now he's ripping off Ace Steel's gimmick.
2) Mason Beck d. Darrin Corbin in 5:20 to retain the Heritage Title: Corbin tried for the full nelson, but Beck powered out, hit the boot and the Razor's Edge.
3) Shane Hollister d. Shima Xion, Christian Faith & Johnny Wayne (?) in 7:56. They did a spot where all four men hit consecutive superkicks on each other. That caused Shane Douglas, who was working up in the balcony, to stand up and wave his towel in celebration. He was so happy, you would have thought somebody told him Flair died.
4) Arik Cannon d. Jimmy Jacobs in 15:13 using Dave Prazak for leverage. Massive brawl all over the building.
5) Zero Gravity d. Irish Airborne in 19:33 in a ladder match to retain the AAW Tag Team Title.
6) Dan Lawrence d. Jesse Emerson in 6:44 to retain the AAW Heavyweight Title.
7) The CLASH/Keith Walker d. Chris Hall/Louis Lyndon/Marion Fontaine in 10:49.
8) Michael Elgin d. Alex Shelley via spinning powerbomb in 14:51.
9) Silas Young d. Steven Richards aka Big Stevie Cool by DQ in 14:13. Richards actually got a submission win, but Billy Corgan reversed the decision. Mason Beck came out for the beatdown, leading to the lights going out and Sabu making an appearance. This lead to...
10) Sabu d. Mason Beck in 7:54 via Arabian Facebuster off second rope throught table.
