North American Pro Wrestling (NAPW) once again put on an afternoon of family entertainment wrestling at America's Round House in Aurora, IL. Nobody left with a frown on their faces. Sharkboy once again was available before the 2pm bell time for pictures and autographs. Some fans were able to dine during the show with a good meal.
1. Texas Pete and Jay Kross vs Bucky Collins and Tony Rican
This opening tag team attraction was the first match in a series of upcoming matches to determine the first NAPW tag team champions. The former CLPW Tag Champions in Texas Pete and Jay Kross were not getting along at all as a unit. Pete wanted a dance/off that resulted in a beat down by his opponents. Rican/Collins true partnership as well as Bucky's exciting high flying was enough to send them to the next round. Collins scored the pinfall with a flying knee to Pete's face.
Winners: Bucky Collins and Tony Rican
2. Bruno the Beard vs. Marcus Krane
This was an interesting match with two different styles. The wired Krane, who acts like he guzzled a case of Mountain Dew, against a Grizzley Redwood wanna-be in Bruno. Bruno's beard sported a stripe of orange running down his chin.
This bout opened with a lot of fist action and hard pounding. Krane was impressive early on with an excellent belly-to-belly suplex type flip. Bruno would hold his own as Krane was hitting the bigger moves including an excellent clothesline off the top rope. Bruno would kick out and even avoid Krane's leap off the ropes. The surprise upset occurred with Bruno winning with his version of Mankind's Mandible Claw.
Winner: Bruno the Beard
3. "The Strangler" Diego Corleone vs Joey Rose.
The classic case of experienced veteran vs rising young star. "The Strangler" back-jumped his much younger opponent with his bull-rope and began to torture his victim. Corleone dominated most of the match with kicking and illegal chokes while taking time out to verbally chastise the little kids at ringside. Joey fought back with a series of flying elbows and clotheslines along with a thunderous head-butt. Rose placed his adversary in a Texas Clover Leaf. Before "The Strangler" could tap out, Brandon Blaze and "The Dodgeball Superstar" Tyler Priegel would Pearl Harbor Rose from behind causing a disqualification.
Chad Falcon(Joey Rose's tag partner) and former TNA Legend Sharkboy made the save. Sharkboy took the mic and offered a challenge for a six-man match as the main event for later in the evening.
Winner: Joey Rose by DQ
4. Jarrod Priest, Robert Michaels & Wille "Da Bomb" Richardson vs Youth Gone Wild (Matt Craven & Tom Hiseman) & Michael Matt.
This was a fast-paced match with a lot of action. The team of YGW and Matt used their speed and quickness against the mat pounding of Priest, Michaels and Richardson. The fans seem to enjoy this match a lot and popped for the ariel moves of YGW. Matt Craven would score the pin for his team over Robert Michaels.
Winners: Youth Gone Wild and Michael Matt
5. Gunner Franks vs The Dixieland Destroyer
Gunner Franks played David against the Goliath in the masked Dixieland Destroyer. David would not have a happy ending during this afternoon. Franks backed his larger opponent into the corner to deliver a series of fists. One blow by the Destroyer would floor Franks. The Destroyer would crush Gunner in the corner and use the famous rope burn to further injure Franks. Gunner made a small rally when the Destroyer missed a splash. The move of the night was when Franks caught the Destroyer attempting to climb the ropes and carried his much larger opponent over his shoulders in a Samoan Drop. Lady luck would not be with Gunner Franks as a fatal splash would finish him off.
Winner: The Dixieland Destroyer
The Main Event
6. "The Strangler" Diego Corleone, "The Dodgeball Superstar" Tyler Priegel and Brandon Blaze vs Joey Rose, Chad Falcon and Sharkboy
This was a terrific match with the crowd behind Sharkboy's team. The former TNA Superstar started the match against his opponent from last month in Blaze. Sharkboy hits the Lou Thesz press and an impressive bulldog. Blaze gets tossed onto the floor as Sharkboy would beat him around America's Round House.
Joey Rose and "The Strangler" would try to take care of some unfinished business from their singles match earlier in the night. Rose would take the upper hand and tag to his partner in Chad Falcon. A few double elbows would floor "The Strangler". Falcon would run into some trouble where he'd take a lot of punishment but avoid defeat. Chad finally made the huge tag to Sharkboy who would clean house. A shot to the groin by a dodgeball took out Brandon Blaze. Priegel would suffer a stunner by Sharkboy ending the main event.
Winners: Sharkboy, Chad Falcon & Joey Rose
