Ring of Honor returned to Chicago Ridge, IL this past Saturday night for “Supercard of Honor VI”. Results from the show saw:
Jim Cornette talk about the company being sold to Sinclair and the first TV tapings for the program coming Aug. 13 in Chicago Ridge.
1. Homicide defeated Michael Elgin.
2. Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly beat The Bravado Brothers.
–Steve Corino did a promo where he was about to introduce his new sponsor however it was interupted by Mike Bennett. Corino and Bennett went back and forth on the mic until Jimmy Jacobs came out and hugged Corino. Jacobs said when he left ROH 2 years ago, everyone was happy to see him go. Now he’s in the best shape of his life and wants to come back and help Corino. He wants back in if ROH officials will let him and told the fans “he wants to fight for honor”. ROH security came out and escorted Jacobs from the arena.
3. “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett defeated Steve Corino after a piledriver.
4. El Generico beat Chris Hero. Hero originally scored the pinfall after putting his feet on the ropes however the fans informed Todd Sinclair of what happened and he restarted the match.
5. Davey Richards defeated Charlie Haas in a good hard-hitting match
6. Shelton Benjamin pinned Claudio Castagnoli
7. Nom Title Match: Colt Cabana defeated Christopher Daniels
8. Chicago Street Fight: Jay and Mark Briscoe defeated The All Night Express in a wild bloodbath that included tables, chairs, ladders, a fire extinguisher, and a chain amongst other things.
9. ROH World Title Match: Eddie Edwards defeated Roderick Strong to retain the title in a great match. After the match The House of Truth attacked Eddie and Davey Richards made the save. Eddie challenged Davey to fight him for the title and said he’d quit if Davey refused. Davey accepted.
