AAW "Scars and Stripes 2011" is in the books and it was a truly historic night. A packed house at the Eagles Club witnessed the below results.
Pre Show:
-El Tigre Gordo d. El Futbol Loco
- Gunner Franks/Markus Crane d. Matt Knicks/Ace Martino
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Zero Gravity d. CLASH with a double superkick on Cameron Skyy
* Promo from Val Malone backstage. She promised Mason Beck would retain the Heritage belt and Silas Young would once again become AAW Heavyweight Champion tonight
- Christian Faith d. Jesse Emerson via forfeit
Emerson was favoring his neck (he slipped backstage last month) and when Faith dropped him with a suplex Emerson bailed and the match was called.
- Powerful promo from AAW Heavyweight Champion Dan Lawrence standing outside the Berwyn Eagles Club. He said over the years there had been many who claimed the Eagles Club was their house but no one had shed more blood sweat or tears over the years in the building then him. He promised he would once again fight to the end in the main event against Silas Young.
- Ryan Boz d. Austin Mannix
Lariat, Tiger Driver, Boz Driver. Quick win for Boz.
* Post match Boz talked about his comeback and how he never got his match with Silas Young. He promised he would be a presence all night until he got what he wanted.
* Promo from Michael Elgin saying his time had come and he was about to dominate the AAW roster.
- Irish Airborne d. Eric Ryan/Bobby Beverly with a spike tombstone piledriver on Ryan
- Post match Ryan Boz took out the Airborne. Kevin Harvey came out and promised Boz he would get his match with Silas but it could not happen tonight.
* Promo from Jesse Emerson. He claimed his neck injury was due to an unsafe work environment and revealed he had a law degree. He announced he was filing suit against the Berwyn Eagles Club and was going to "take every cent the building has".
- Mason Beck d. Shane Hollister to retain the AAW Heritage Title with the Beck Mountain Bomb
Hollister injured his knee and shoulder badly in the match but insisted the match continue. Great show of heart from Shane but Beck was too much to overcome and remains Heritage Champion.
* Ryland Foxx came out and introduced Gregory Iron. Iron is a young man who suffers from cerebral palsy and has followed his dream to become a pro wrestler. Awesome Threesome came out and challenged Iron to a "handicap match". This brought out Colt Cabana to a huge ovation leading to.....
-Awesome Threesome d. Colt Cabana / Gregory Iron with a double DDT on Iron
* Post match Cabana said Iron had nothing to be ashamed of. He said everyone love an underdog story and spoke of his best friend. Cabana went backstage and emerged with CM PUNK as the AAW fans went insane!
Video here:
- Michael Elgin d. Brent B with a Spinning Powerbomb
Elgin continues to impress and many in the lockeroom are starting to take notice
* Promo from Scarlett. She claims all the fans want to see is sex and violence. She announced she was leaving AAW.
- Arik Cannon d. Jimmy Jacobs after two Glimmering Warlocks
Another hard fought match between these two. Cannon gets the win and Jacobs gets a standing ovation after this great match
- Darin Corbin / Marion Fontaine w/ Joey Eastman d. Keith Walker / N8 Mattson w/ Trth Martini
Wild match that saw a ton of high impact moves and a dance off between Eastman and Martini (Truth even pulled out a spin a rooni). Finish saw Corbin pin Mattson with a springboard sunset flip.
Post match Walker and Martini turned on Mattson and brutally attacked him. Martini then called Danny Daniels who was standing at the bar. Daniels quietly walked backstage.
- Silas Young d. Dan Lawrence 2 falls to 1 to become the NEW AAW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Epic match here that saw Lawrence win the first fall with a roll up. Silas responded by busting DL wide open with the ring bell and winning the second fall. Deciding fall was hard fought as both men went at it tooth and nail. Lawrence hit a top rope rana and grabbed Silas's legs when Val Malone pulled DL's crimson hair and reversed the momentum allowing Young to get the pin and become the third man in history to hold the AAW Heavyweight Title on two different occasions.
DL got a standing ovation as the show came to a close and the fans chanted "AAW, AAW".
A truly surreal night. Even without the Punk surprise I feel this was one of the best AAW shows ever. The guys left it all in the ring tonight. Thanks to all who came out.
