3XW Clobberpalooza Classic IV - 9/23/11 - Des Moines, Iowa
RESULTS:
1. Mike Sydal defeated Jimmy Rockwell by pinfall following an Explosion Moonsault. Both displayed great sportsmanship shaking hands following the match
Many members of Genesis (3XW Commissioner Todd Countryman, Steve Biley, Devin Carter, Casanova, Tony Sly, Gage Octane and Zach Thompson) came out as Todd Countryman took the mic. Countryman explained that Brian Ash hasn't returned anyone's messages since losing the Heavyweight title in July. Countryman and Octane began to touch on their recent issues before Countryman explained that many of the group's problems in recent months can be attributed to Steve Biley not being there to help them in July and August. The members in the ring then attacked Biley, disposing him from the group.
2. Domino Rivera beat Wildcat by pinfall following an impressive leaping full nelson legsweep facebuster.
3. In his return to 3XW, Mark Sterling beat Zach Thompson with Todd Countryman by pinfall following an impressive new finishing move. Great back and forth action that saw Thompson even hit Sterling with his own trademark spear. Before the bout, Sterling hid under the ring and attacked Thompson as he made his entrance. The pin was setup by Sterling nailing Thompson with a spear as he leapt off the top rope. Following the bout, Sterling continued the assault, applying the Markshooter to Thompson. Countryman jumped on Sterling's back, as Zach Thompson recovered and ran at Sterling with Countryman's briefcase, Sterling turned Countryman into the path and Thompson hit Countryman with the briefcase. Sterling then dented the briefcase into Thompson's head.
4. The Mylan Management Agency (The Mauler & Ricky Kwong w/ Chad Mylan) and The American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & Jon West w/ Skylar Pierce) battled to a no contest after new MMA member Domino Rivera ran out and handcuffed McDowell's wrist to the top rope, allowing the MMA to viciously assault Jon West and Skylar Pierce, who took a flying elbow drop from Kwong before they draped the American flag over Pierce's body. The MMA, now four members strong, celebrated in the ring.
5. Sir Bradley Charles successfully defended the 3XW Pure Wrestling title over Tony Sly by pinfall after The Long Kiss Goodnight. Zach Thompson attempted to interfere on Sly's behalf, only for Mark Sterling to hold him off.
Sterling congratulated SBC after the match, only to viciously spear the Pure champion. He applied a Rings of Saturn submission to SBC, called for the mic, and then explained to SBC and the crowd that SBC stole his opportunity for the Pure title against Thompson while he was out of action. Sterling berated the fans as he left the ringside area.
6. Gage Octane w/ Todd Countryman beat Matty Starr by pinfall following a Spine Tingler setup by Todd Coutryman nailing Starr with his shoe after throwing his briefcase to Octane, which distracted the ref. After the bout, Octane was upset at Countryman for believing Octane needed assistance and a weapon to defeat Starr.
7. Sexier and Smoother (Ryan Slade & AJ Smooth) beat Genesis (Devin Carter & Casanova), pinning both men simultaneously following a Fastball Special of the top rope. Lots of children taunted Casanova by mocking his own hip swivel, including a young fan brought into the ring to psych out Casanova.
8. Jeremy Wyatt successfully defended the 3XW Heavyweight title over 3XW Tag Team champion Ben Sailer by submission following a Crossface. Excellent 25-minute title match that featured phenomenal technical wrestling. Sailer refused to shake Wyatt's hand after the match.
