With several hundred in attendance to see if Windy City was finally laid to rest, there was certainly a concern when Dynasty Sports Entertainment (DSE) President Sam DeCero came to the ring after the opening contest to announce that 9 superstars had yet to arrive and no explanation or announcement was given to DeCero. Just then, those 9 missing stars emerged through the front door arriving on their own at their own pace. This group was vocally led by "The Urban Gladiator" Trauma. Trauma made it clear that him and his 8 supporters wanted nothing to do with DeCero's new "Dynasty" vision. That they were proud to be trained and to perform for the only promotion that had still been running after 25 years next to WWE. Trauma would then issue the challenge to DeCero. The 9 loyal Windy City vets, against any 9 Dynasty stars that wanted to step up, in a series of matches. Each winner would then qualify for a tag-team elimintion match that would identify which promotion would be left standing in the end. After hesitation, DeCero would be convinced by his Heavyweight Champion, "The Irish Car Bomb" Sean Mulligan to accept.
First match had the final Windy City student "D-Block" give WC an early advantage by upending the bigger, stronger Dynasty represntative, "Gamer-tag".
Secondly, it was Dynasty evening the score as D.T.A. would prevail in a 6-man Money in the Bank match.
15 year WC vet Mike Anthony would regain the Windy City advantage by making Dynasty up-n-comer Troy Seals tap out. Immediately following was 10 year WC vet D.O.C. topping Bundy, Dynasty's largest star in a harcore championship match!
With a convincing 3 to 1 advantage, Windy City was feeling pretty good, and Dynasty needed to answer in a tag-team contest with Buddy Roberts Jr. teaming with Barry Ryte against the Bowery Brawlers. The official would make a stunning decision to advance both teams after a double submission!
Finally, in the Heavyweight title match, the confident champion Sean Mulligan was taken to the limits against the near 300lb Trauma. After a refreshing shot of his Jameson, the "Irish Car Bomb" exploded with a "Hangover" to the powerful challenger to make Dynasty the 5 to 4 underdog heading into the main event elimination match with all the stakes on the line.
D.O.C. was disqualified right off the bat as he couldn't distinguish hardcore, to tag-team elimination. Roberts/Ryte and the Brawlers were both counted out after all 4 would battle through the crowd and into the locker room. Mulligan would then dispose of D-Block after a big boot to the chops giving Dynasty the edge. Mulligan and DTA vs Mike Anthony. After DTA was flattened with a chain shot by D.O.C., in the first minute, he emerged with a blow to the back of Anthony using his money in the bank briefcase. Anthony then found himself in the "hungover" position, when Mulligan propted him up, over and out! Dynasty was on top and declared the victorious brand . . . . so we thought.
After Mulligan's obvious frustration toward DTA for no help throughout the entire match, DTA woud answer with the "Assassination Drop" flattening the heavyweight champion. DTA would be passed a Windy City shirt by 20 year WC veteran "tough-guy" manager Pyscho! DTA then made it clear he was cashing in his newly earned Money in the Bank, hit his finisher once again following the bell, and earned his very first Windy City Heavyweight Championship!
Congrats to Deandre the Assassin, and Windy City to perhaps another 25 years in the biz?
