Thanks to the packed crowd that attended 3XW's first event in Grinnell!
3XW Live! - Grinnell, Iowa - Feb. 25, 2012
RESULTS:
1. Sir Bradley Charles & Tyler Cook defeated the MMA ("The Laotian Sensation" Ricky Kwong & The Mauler with Chad Mylan) by pinfall after SBC slammed Kwong with the Long Kiss Goodnight after the massive Mauler was impressively forced over the top rope.
After the following match, Genesis members Todd Countryman, Gage Octane, Devin Carter & Casanova entered the ring and insulted the American Bulldogs and the town of Grinnell. The American Bulldogs & Ray Stryker rushed to the ring, sending Genesis scrambling outside. Maddog McDowell, a Grinnell native, took the mic and explained to Genesis that Grinnell is one of the great small towns in America and vowed to get revenge on Genesis later tonight.
2. Angelus Layne defeated Lucy Mendez by pinfall after using her trademark "Memento Mori" DDT. This was a great women's bout. Mendez was making in her 3XW debut.
3. 3XW Heavyweight champion "The Ironman" Mark Sterling defeated one-half of the 3XW Tag Team champions "Rock n' Roll" Mike Sydal by pinfall after the Disaster Piece in an excellent hard-hitting, fast-paced bout.
4. "Delicious" Devin Carter (with Todd Countryman) beat Ray Stryker by pinfall following a vicious Spinebuster.
5. "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt beat Domino Rivera (with fellow MMA members The Mauler, Ricky Kwong and Chad Mylan at ringside) by pinfall following a Lightning Spiral. Wyatt had to fight off the other members of the MMA throughout the match.
6. The American Bulldogs ("The American Fury" Jon West & Grinnell's own Maddog McDowell with Skylar Pierce) beat OctaNova (Gage Octane & Casanova with Todd Countryman, representing Genesis) by pinfall after McDowell crushed Octane with a Rabies Shot. The crowd went absolutely nuts for McDowell, who grew up in Grinnell.
