3XWrestling 7th Anniversary Event Results - Des Moines, Iowa - July 27, 2012
Thanks to the large and vocal crowd that attended another memorable Anniversary event.
1. Ray Stryker beat Ryan Kidd and Darren Dean in a triple threat match, pinning Kidd with after slamming him with the Extinguisher
2. "The Bulletproof Tiger" Jaysin Strife defeated Tony Kozina in a great match. Strife rolled-up Kozina for the pin after Kozina slipped and fell backwards off the top turnbuckle. Kozina was irate, claiming the turnbuckle cover which came loose caused him to fall.
3. Handicap match - Gage Octane and 3XW Commissioner Todd Countryman beat "The Punk Rock Icon" Tony Sly by pinfall following a distraction and Octane hitting the Spine Tingler.
4. The American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & "The American Fury" Jon West with Skylar Pierce) successfully defended the 3XW Tag Team titles over The MMA (Domino Rivera & "The Laotian Sensation Ricky Kwong with Chad Mylan), after nailing Rivera with a huge double-team spinebuster. Following the bout, Brady A. Dezire and his brother Randy A. Dezire ran in from the crowd and viciously attacked the Bulldogs with steel chairs.
5. Darin Corbin and "The Rockstar" Jimmy Rockwell battled to a double countout in a wild brawl that continued after the match despite the best efforts of 3XW security and color commentator Aaron Masterson to stop it. Corbin nailed a leaping Rockwell with a forearm to the groin and looked to do more damage until "The Viking Warrior" Kraig Keesaman shockingly returned, coming to the aid of Rockwell.
6. "The World's Fittest Wrestler" Mark Sterling defeated Kyle O'Reilly by pinfall with the Disaster Piece in a phenomenal match that received a standing ovation from the crowd.
7. Sir Bradley Charles and "The Viking Warrior" Kraig Keesaman beat "Delicious" Devin Carter and "Everyone's Favorite Wrestler" Nate Bash of Genesis. Originally a triple threat match, this was turned into a tag team bout with Keesaman agreeing to partner with SBC. This was Keesaman's first match since being retired by Rockwell at the 5th Anniversary Event.
8. "The Professional" Benjamin Sailer successfully defended the 3XW Heavyweight title over Davey Richards in an outstanding match, impressively beating Richards by submission with his new Scorpion Hold following Richards overcoming interference via belt shot from Sailer's tag team partner Nate Bash.
Next 3XW events are Aug. 4 in West Des Moines with "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in action and Aug. 31 in Des Moines with the 2012 "King of Des Moines Tournament" and Sailer defending the 3XW Heavyweight title against the returning "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt.
