Last night Silas Young vs Pauly Thomaselli was a main event match ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD and IN ANY ERA of pro wrestling!!
The rest of the card was also OUTSTANDING!
1) In an odd pairing Mojo McQueen defeated Texas Pete via a clawhold.
Thus giving Mojo the option to advance in the PPW World Heavyweight Championship tourney.
2) Michael Mack and Cousin Eddie then faced off where Mack was able to prevail via a
spear out of nowhere when it looked like Eddie had the match sewn up!
Both men were eliminated from PPW World Contender ship with previous tourney losses. With Macks victory last night he earned the option to compete for the title in the tourney
3)The Midnight Express Reboot defeated the young and much smaller team of Ace Martino and Alex Bernadino (Although the younger team made an extremely strong showing).
This was the first match in the PPW Tag Team Championship tourney and "The Midnights" showed AMAZING tag team skills!! They proved they are obvious specialists in an almost lost art and although its obvious they are not fan favorites, were very impressive!
4) Barry Ryte vs Matt Knicks vs Justice Jones in a Heritage title contenders match w/Triple Threat Rules.
Barry comes into this match RED HOT after 2 previous victory's in the tourney with momentum on his side (along with heavy fan support).
Matt Knicks was making his PPW debut and came into this match with a lot to prove and prove himself he did!
And Justice Jones, who's new motto is "No more Mr nice jones" (even though its hard to recall him ever being a sweetheart?) made his PPW debut as well, coming off of a 9-29 WWE tryout down in Fla.
This was a heavily back and forth and forth match featuring, power, strength, athleticism, high flying, and smarts!!
The end of the match came when Jones hit Knicks with an amazing Pop Up Power Bomb and went out to jawjack with fans and Barry Ryte covered Knicks to win a GRUELING match and gained his 3rd victory in the Heritage 3 way tourney!
5) In a "Impromptu" match up, Justice Jones defeated a surprise opponent Machine!!!
This match came about as ring announcer Mr Ricolo approached Jones after his loss in the 3 way and inquired about his WWE tryout!
Jones seemingly angry and amongst many other things he said, he said he really didn't care about the Heritage title and was actually in PPW for the World Heavyweight Championship!! In doing so, he mentioned he would "face anyone in PPW anytime" thus bringing Machine literally out of nowhere?!?!
The two Bohemiaths met at the end of the ramp from the entrance way and began brawling which, spilled into the ring.
At that point, company officials saw no other option but, send out the referee, ring the bell, and start a match!! Bearing in mind that Machine was still in heavyweight contender ship and even according to Mr Jones himself, he was also qualified.
After an extremely physical altercation, we saw Machine dominating Jones in the corner, Jones slipped out and caught Machine off guard with a Jaw Jacker Lariat as Jones squeaked by Machine for the victory!!
6) Derek St Holmes vs Sea Man
Derek is a literal pleathera of wrestling knowledge and a seasoned veteran in the sport! He faced one the best kep secrets in pro wrestling, The Sea Man! Both men were coming off of big victory's and "jockeying" hard for their positions in the PPW Heavyweight tourney. The Sea Man gained the victory via small package when St Holmes went for the figure four leg lock on the Sea Man which proved fruitful for Derek 2 weeks ago in his match. The Sea Man advances!
7) Ruff Crossing vs Scott Spade
A tremendous paring for PPW World Heavyweight Contender ship! Apparently, there were past issues between Crossing and Spade. These past issues coupled with the high stakes from the tourney proved to be quite the roller coaster ride for the folks in attendance! Both men are very equally matched with very similar styles that pair wrestling skills with pure knock down drag out instincts which both men possess! As the crowd was entranced in another very physical back and forth match, The Midnights entered the ring uninvited, with an "axe to grind" with Ruff after Ruff defeated Jeffery Luxon eliminating him from contender ship on 9-29.
The Midnights actions not only frustrated fans in attendance but, also Spade and Crossing as they interfered and attacked both men and PPW officials had no choice but, to throw out the match and eliminate both men from the tournament!
Crossing who was ready and willing to do battle with the two men on his own realizes that there would be much more to gain and hurt The Midnights giant egos, if he could convince Spade to team with him and take The Midnights out of tag tourney contender ship!!
Spade, who's adrenaline was obviously still running through his veins, pretty much looked like he wanted to hit someone but, couldn't decide who eventually agreed and the two men (who have fought like brothers together in the past) formed a more then formidable alliance and tried to take on the opposing team on the spot!!
The Midnights "took a powder" and the decision has been made, Ruff Crossing and Scott Spade will face The Midnight Express Reboot on 10-26!!
7) Silas Young vs Pauly Thomaselli
Words cant describe the magnitude of wrestling talent between these two men! These two are clearly two of the most talented men in ALL of the industry today and put on a literal "wrestling clinic" that went back and forth for nearly 20 minutes! From the moment the bell rang to start the match there was absolutely no way to tell which man would win this match.
After a series of finishing moves and the closest near falls, Silas Young missed an Arabian press allowing Pauly Thomaselli to gain the victory with a cradle brainbuster!!!
Thomaselli advances and Silas vows he's not finished yet!!
