AAW Jawbreaker
Friday October 17, 2014
World Famous Berwyn Eagles Club
Berwyn, IL
Pre-Show Match
Kirk Warmack/Buck Nasty/"All About Me" Malakai Matthews d. Shane Saber/Alex "Danger" Bernadino/Moondog Bernard (w/"Amazing" Arnold Presley) in 6:36 when Matthews pinned Bernadino with a necktie style neckbreaker.
Show opened with Tony Rican announcing that Shane Hollister was unable to make the show, meaning he needed a challenger for the Heavyweight Championship main event. Ethan Page came out, seemingly to announce who he'd chosen to be his tag partner for the championship tournament, but instead said he should be the challenger for the Heavyweight Championship. Michael Elgin made his AAW return, saying he wanted in the tag tournament not only to win the vacated titles back, but also to get his hands on Page. He told Rican if Page isn't going to be in the tournament, then it should be Elgin vs. Page. Rican concluded that to give them both what they wanted, he would make tonight's main event a 3-way match for the Heavyweight Championship.
1. Davey Vega d. Brent Banks in 4:15 when he hit Banks with a foreign object during a back suplex attempt.
2. The Hooligans (w/Buck Nasty) d. "The Handlebar Haberdasher" Marion Fontain/Juntai Miller in 4:51 when Mason Cutter pinned Fontain after a wheelbarrow DDT combo.
3. Zero Gravity d. The Iron Curtain in 2:30 when CJ Esparza pinned Benjamin Boone after the Flippy Cup.
4. The Markus Crane Experience and the Dan Lawrence Project d. Kimber Lee/"Miss Natural" Heather Patera in 6:43 when Crane pinned Patera after the Tidal Wave.
5. "Wrestling Goddess" Athena/AAW Heritage Champion "Punkrawk Ragdoll" Heidi Lovelace d. Christian Faith/Gregory Iron in 8:14 when Lovelace pinned Iron after Athena's top rope leaping stunner followed by Lovelace's top rope frog splash.
6. "Money" Matt Cage d. Chris Sabin in 13:43 with the top rope Codebreaker.
7. Louis Lyndon d. Paco "The Madman" Gonzales, Justice Jones (w/Knight Wagner), Veda Scott, Dick Justice, and Marek Brave in a 6-way Mayhem Match when Lyndon got Gonzales to tap out to a dragon sleeper.
8. The Hooligans (w/Buck Nasty) and Zero Gravity went to a No Contest in 6:06 when 3 of the 4 men in the match made aggressive contact with a referee. Both teams were eliminated from the tag tournament.
9. The Markus Crane Experience and the Dan Lawrence Project d. "Wrestling Goddess" Athena and "Punkrawk Ragdoll" Heidi Lovelace in 7:55 to win the AAW Tag Team Championships when Lawrence pinned Athena with a school boy.
10. Eddie Kingston d. "All Ego" Ethan Page and "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin in 14:52 in a 3-way elimination match to retain the AAW Heavyweight Championship. Kingston pinned Page at the 11:25 mark with the Back Fist to the Future. Kingston then pinned Elgin after the American D sliding forearm smash.
AAW returns to 115 Bourbon St. in Merrionette Park, IL on Friday November 7, 2014 with A Monster's Rage. Already signed is "Human Massacre" Keith Walker going head to head with "War Machine" Rhino. Plus Chris Sabin, Davey Richards, and Eddie Edwards. In addition to that, all titles will be on the line!
