Really was a solid show, and a much better second half than the first. Building was really full, forcing DVDs to be sold at the entrance and Dirty Dan's DVD to be sold at the bar. I'm not sure how often they'll be running this building. It's been a good home, but all good things come to an end.
Lyndon & Hollister gave a good account and a solid opener. Shocking result. Scarlett wanted Shane to shake with Louis.
Dick Justice is really solid on the mic and funny. He'll learn working with Cabana. Fans were really bummed to see Moondog selling out. So was I.
Sabin vs. Jacobs was eh, probably cause I've seen it before, but the finish was very well-done, and Jacobs calling Sabin the "Marty Janetty" of his team with Shelley was a real low blow.
Heidi threatened to turn Marcus Crane's manhood inside out. Nice.
Justice Jones continues to look good, and Wagner is really settling in as a good mouthpiece.
First time seeing the Hooligans. They're really big, but have some athleticism. Some dangerous stuff. Finisher with the chair could have been an epic disaster. But it moves the Hooligans up the card.
Nothing Davey Vega does excites me.
Cage vs. Gargano could have used more of a build. But they gave it a lot of time and it got better as it went on.
Kingston vs. Walker wasn't really on my radar. They must have been angry working the semi-main and took it out on each other, Japan-strong style. Lot of strikes, suplexes, throws, and not a lot of selling. Super brutal. Walker set this up with a solid interview touting his veteran experience and he came to prove a point. Couple spinning backfists and strikes by Kingston to win. Looked nasty.
I thought Wolves vs. Mafia was going to be MOTY in AAW. No way they could have topped the title match. They tried. Solid tandem offense, but nothing too insane. Right team went over. Nice touch by the Wolves to thank everybody, as who knows if/when they'll be back in AAW at all.
