Quick Results from Retribution 4/16/16:
Match 1: The Will to Win (Brendan Conway & Craig Mitchell) defeated Stephen Wolf & Shawn Phoenix by pinfall when Mitchell executed a package piledriver to Phoenix.
Match 2: “The Survivor” Barry Ryte defeated Ricky Cruz with a school boy, accompanied by a hand full of tights.
-After the match, Ryte challenged new UGW Champion Geoffrey Percival Austere (GPA) a match since he feels like GPA is always dodging him everywhere they go. Instead, UGW Majority owner Matt Bacaling comes out and gives him a championship opportunity on May 14th against GPA.
Match 3: Rey Furia defeated Marcus Conrad after Conrad jumped from the top rope and was caught with a backpack stunner.
-Video of JJ Garrett is shown telling everyone that tonight there was no way Draconis was going to defeat him and that Bacaling was not going to have the pleasure of firing him.
Match 4: DDS defeated “The Voodoo King” Mojo McQueen. Mojo had DDS locked away in the Scorpion Death Lock when Brendan Conway came out and distracted the referee, allowing Craig Mitchell to sneak in with a chair to knock down McQueen. DDS was then able to recover and give Mojo a Delicious Driver for the win.
Match 5: Mustafa Ali defeated Mr. Bank$ & Mason Conrad. Mason landed a huge elbow drop from the top rope and as he went for the cover, Ali pulled the referee out of the ring. He then proceeded to low blow Conrad, throw him out of the ring and hit a picture perfect 450 splash for the pinfall. Ali now receives a title match of his choosing. This match is a must see.
Match 6: Draconis retained the UGW Independent Championship by defeating JJ Garret. Garrett hit Draconis with everything he had and despite that, the cockiness and swag of Garrett was his undoing as Draconis was able to get him in a small package for the pinfall victory.
-Matt Bacaling, with a smile on his face, got to publicly fire JJ Garrett but he refused to leave the ring. Security was called for and JJ Garrett was picked up, kicking and screaming, and carried up the ramp and out the backdoor.
Match 7: Priest defeated Mike Matthews in the No Holds Barred Main event, thus making Mike Matthews retirement from wrestling completely official. Matthews gave it his all against his mentor and former friend but it was a F-69 onto a pile of chairs that put the Angel of Flight down for good.
