Quick Results from “Resistance is Futile” 5/14/16:
Match 1: Mason Conrad defeated Sean Orleans by pinfall after connecting with a superkick.
Match 2: El Swaggo Loco defeated “Marvelous” Matt Knicks & Rey Furia in a triple threat match. Swaggo stole the win from Rey Furia after Furia connected with a backpack stunner on Knicks only to be thrown out of the ring by Swaggo shortly after covering Knicks for the pinfall.
-After the match, UGW commentator Mark Maxwell came to the ring attempting to interview El Swaggo Loco, calling him JJ Garrett (who was fired last month but you can clearly see his face underneath his panty hose mask) but Swaggo would not respond to the name, only saying in perfect English, “I don’t understand what you are asking me or saying because I don’t speak English.”
Match 3: The Viking War Party defeated The Will to Win (Brendan Conway & Craig Mitchell) by pinfall. This match didn’t even start until after several minutes of all four men battling in the crowd, the use of chairs and other objects they could get their hands on.
-DDS was shown at an airport about to board a plane to Florida stating that there was no one on tonight’s event worth his time. He then demanded a match with the winner of the GPA/Barry Ryte UGW Championship Main Event for June 11th.
Match 4: Draconis defeated Mustafa Ali by pinfall to retain the UGW Independent Championship after an amazing display of athleticism by both individuals. In Draconis’ toughest defense yet, it was one small mistake by the veteran Ali that give his former student the victory.
Match 5: Jesus Bryce & Acid Jaz retained the UGW Tag Team Championship by defeating #Glitterbomb’s Dazzling Donnie & Skitz. M Jones.
Match 6: “The Voodoo King” Mojo McQueen defeated Marcus Conrad by pinfall after executing the Spellbinder. Conrad, who is looking more and more lost without the guidance of missing manager James Russo, was made to look like a fool as McQueen continued to use the voodoo doll which made Marcus literally beat himself up.
Match 7: GPA retained the UGW Championship by defeating “The Survivor” Barry Ryte by pinfall after a close battle between two champions. Several times those in attendance thought the Ryte was going to be crowned the new champion but the determination of the life underdog GPA and one hell of finishing maneuver secured his first title defense.
