Global Professional Wrestling (GPW) Results From The Don Preston Recreation Center In Midlothian, IL, From Saturday Night, April 1, 2017:
Jack Moody announced that he had suffered a serious back injury that would force him to retire from wrestling. Moments later, Jack A. Moody arrived on the scene (the same exact guy) to compete in the preview bout. He changed his name with an “A” to maintain his undefeated record. It appeared, to many, to be a big April Fools joke.
Jose El Magnifico defeated Jack A. Moody. After the bout, Jack A. Moody verbally quit GPW.
Mr. Ricolo introduced GPW Argus Brewery Battle Royal Champion BRB (Battle Royal Barry), but the interview was immediately interrupted by Chazz Moretti. Chazz bad-mouthed the champion until his newest acquisition Beau Tatum attacked BRB from behind with a samoan drop, trapped BRB’s arm in between a steel chair hinge, and stomped down on BRB’s arm badly. A number of wrestlers came down to check on the champion and protect him from further harm. Marshe Rockett laid out a challenge to Tatum for later in the evening. BRB had to be aided to the back, and it was announced that he would be stripped of the championship if he could not compete in the main event battle royal.
The Lunatic beat Elite Marco Anthony
The Beauster defeated Ricky The Janitor
Mike Strong beat Chris Miller
Repentless (All American Scumbag Machine & Brutus Owen Wesker) defeated Rage (Tommy Madux & Mitch Blake) partially due to outside interference on the floor by Beau Tatum laying out Mitch Blake allowing Repentless to hit a double team brainbuster on Madux.
Family (Brawn The Lumberjack & Mad Dog Ivan Manson) w/Charlie Jr. beat Jarod Priest & Malex Matthews. Matthews & Priest had a number of miscommunication issues eventually leading to Priest snapping Malex’s neck with a takedown to allow the Family to score the win.
Mr. M80 Marshe Rockett defeated Beau Tatum w/Chazz Moretti by Countout. The hard fought match ended abruptly when a weakened Tatum avoided an M80 and was advised by Moretti to walk away from the match to prepare for the main event GPW Argus Brewery Battle Royal Championship.
Willie The Bomb Richardson w/Urban Sensation C-Red beat Jake Andrews. C-Red pulled out official Lou Tufano during a pinning attempt by Andrews forcing a delayed distraction. Richardson hit a low blow to score the eventually win.
Battle Royal Barry (BRB) retained the GPW Argus Brewery Battle Royal Championship by last eliminating Beau Tatum. The match began without BRB, but BRB returned to score revenge in the later half of the bout eliminating bodies in multiples before scoring the surprise win.
