Global Professional Wrestling (GPW) Results From The Don Preston Recreation Center In Midlothian, IL, From Saturday Night, August 5, 2017:
Steve Kenton interviewed Jack D. Moody about his recent GPW Battle Royal Championship victory and informed Moody that he had a match against a mystery opponent in addition to his battle royal championship match later in the evening.
Steve Kenton congratulated Jake Andrews on his GPW Championship win last month. Zamiel arrived on the scene claiming that Andrews was a one-hit wonder. A challenge was made and accepted for later in the evening with the title on the line.
Hollywood Beau-gan defeated Brad Kevins w/Alex Romero
The Lunatic beat Jake St. Patrick
Mr. M80 Marshe Rockett defeated GPW Battle Royal Champion Jack D. Moody. Although the loss should have resulted in Moody’s exit from the main event battle royal as well as Moody being stripped of the title, sponsors demanded that Moody defend the title against a nearly full roster of individuals seeking revenge on Moody after all in the main event.
Matt Dewar beat Pretty Boy Floyd by Disqualification when Floyd hit a blatant low blow.
The Family (Mad Dog Ivan Manson, Brawn The Lumberjack, & Miller Time Chris Miller) w/Charlie Jr. & Lilith Rae defeated The Rage (Mitch Blake, Tommy Madux, & Jeffro King) w/Mr. Ricolo in a 6-Man Tag Team Elimination match. Prior to the bout, the Family threatened to sacrifice Mr. Ricolo with Brawn’s ax. However, the Rage arrived to issue a challenge for the 6-Man Elimination bout where the losing team would get 2 minutes in the ring alone with the opposing team’s manager/representative. As a result of the loss, Mr. Ricolo was forced to face the Family for two minutes, but Mr. Ricolo was able to survive avoiding a chain shot and knocking down Miller with a right hand.
Repentless (Brutus Owen Wesker & All American Scumbag Machine) beat The Hellbillys (Backwoods Brown & Jay Kross) partially due to outside interference and distractions from the other Repentless members: Zamiel & Savage in addition to the usage of the Puzzle Box.
Mike Strong defeated Midwest Bully Willie Richardson w/C-Red by Countout. Prior to the bout, Willie insulted the fans, proclaimed that he would one day be GPW Champion, attacked DJ Amora for playing the wrong entrance theme, and agreed to the challenge made by Mike Strong.
Beau Tatum w/Chazz Moretti beat BRB Battle Royal Barry partially due to Moretti spraying a substance in BRB’s eyes. After the bout, Reign Of Thunder (Tee Jay Reign & Johnny Thunder) attempted to attack BRB showing allegiance to Tatum and joined the Moretti Agency.
Jake Andrews retained the GPW Championship by defeating Zamiel w/BOW, Savage, & Machine partially thanks to help from the Hellbillys to even the odds.
Jack E. Moody retained the GPW Battle Royal Championship by last eliminating Mercenary Alvin Gray & Matthew Fontaine. Moody handcuffed himself to the middle rope for 90% of the bout in order to stay in the ring and avoid elimination. Other participants included Malex Matthews, Mike Strong, Amazing Ninja Dude Mike Brennan, Matt Dewar, Marshe Rockett, The Lunatic, JC Jr., Kidd FoxXx, Hunk Cassidy, Invictus, Savage, Hollywood Beau-gan, Tee Jay Reign, Johnny Thunder, Beau Tatum, Chris Miller, Brawn The Lumberjack, & Cardini.
