If smoke breaks/re-entry is being allowed at other shows at the Eagles Club now, then by all means, we'll begin allowing it immediately. I have always been told otherwise. Well hot damn, this is the best news I've heard all year. I would like to take credit for shooting down the Berwyn law, but I think Buckley deserves some credit since he started the conversation. The funniest part was they said not letting us outside was "for our safety". How was being locked into a small room with Sayara Knight and 200 wrestling nerds making me more safe? I think you will find the meet and greets going more smoothly with more fans getting what they want, fans overall happier and crowd being more into everything and everyone wins! Worse case scenario is jpecard sneaks in after the 3rd match dressed as a Japanese cameraman, but he might still buy a dvd so in the end everyone still wins! Oh man! Great post! You're welcome but it was a group effort. I'm glad that things are going to change regarding this rule and I am proud that we all actually made a little bit of a difference for the betterment of a wrestling show. Thank you to Prazak for listening to us. Hell, you might see me at my first Shimmer show next month, who knows.

Hooray. They kept flame going for women's indie wrestling in the Midwest during the WWE Diva days.
Madison Eagles vs. Deonna Purrazzo, submission match on for Saturday.

Well, this ended up not being true. That's unfortunate, I was going to go Sunday but I think I'll stay home and sleep off my hangover instead. I got to see Kylie Rae at Anarchy Pro for 10 bucks and she's just as good or better than any of the chicks here. I heard Chelsea Green and Tessa both no showed again also, so that's 3 Chicago area no shows in a row for Chelsea and 2 in a row for Tessa for whoever is counting. What's the chances of them showing up to Zelo in Milwaukee on Friday or Warrior Wrestling either for that matter?

Pretty sure Tessa was only ever booked for Sunday and is working CZW result of the best tonight. Did she miss the Rise show?

They said it multiple times that we could not leave and re-enter. More b*llsh*t in the world of wrestling I guess. Thanks a lot Prazak.

My first time going to a Shimmer event. I don’t smoke, but it would’ve been nice to be able to leave and come back. It’s quite the commitment, but it still wasn’t that bad. I would do it again

My guess is it's the police decision that patrol the arena to not let anyone out, Prazak probably couldn't stop it. But I talked to a fan that was at Rise and he said they let people out for that on Friday so who knows? You just got to weigh your risk versus reward, do you really want to be stuck inside for 7 straight hours even if there are 100 hot chicks in skimpy outfits.
Seems like a lot of fans leave during the intermission, so I'm not the only one who thinks the 'Berwyn Law' is b*llsh*t! Same complaints from people saying it's too crowded during the meet and greet and not being able to put signed autographs and merch into your car, it's just a giant clusterfuck overall. To me risk outweighs the reward, and being locked in does not make you more safe or however they want to spin it! You would probably get more of your moneys worth going to a strip club and at least they will let you go outside and smoke whenever you want!

For those wondering, we asked. We fought for it. We were denied. By the venue, and by the cops. They said they don't allow it at any wrestling shows there, so whomever heard BCW is allowing it there was incorrect.
Nobody "no showed" anything. Tessa, Britt, and Chelsea were always advertised for Sunday only, and Deonna for Saturday only. Everyone appeared on the days they were advertised for.

Tessa, Britt, and Chelsea were always advertised for Sunday only, as well as Deonna for Saturday only. I went to a BCW show a few months ago and they allowed it and I have heard it was the same thing the last show. But I guess I am "incorrect" even though at BCW, I was one of the few dozen people who spent intermission outside of the venue. And maybe next time when you make the roster the poster you should put (Sunday Only) or (Saturday Only) under their names. Cause the only ones I knew of were Tessa was booked somewhere on Saturday and Deonna was Saturday exclusive. You should also read my review in the show review thread in the Chicago section, it was my first time at one of your shows and I probably won't be back and someone else agreed so I wasn't the only person with complaints.

BCW lets you come and go as you please. I attended their December show and was able to go out at intermission to chug a Sue and smoke. I even asked the people at the front at the BCW show and they had no qualms at all (some woman and a guy) hell they were so nice the woman working the front let me use her hand warmer.
I expect BCW to allow the same later this month. We appreciate you fighting for us Dave, but it's not a Berwyn law at all. I am able to come and go as I please at the Wire (concert venue in Berwyn), Eagle's Club Pancake Breakfasts, GALLI Lucha as well as the elementary school off oak park ave (went to my cousin's christmas concert). It truly makes no sense to force people to sit in a cramped, warm, smelly venue for upwards of 10 hours. Again, we appreciate you trying but in the end I think more fans need to put their foot down and not give into the police's b*llsh*t lines. There's ways into that building and ways out during the show, some people know and some might not. For the rest of the people that blindly follow the "berwyn law" i feel sorry for you and hope that one day you can stand up to these intimidation tactics.

I have been to LLT shows in Berwyn and they also do not have a re-entry fee. What are the eagles club owners trying to pull?
