I wonder what made this happen. Weird cause although I haven't been to the Oak Lawn Pavilion in over a decade, I remember it being way bigger than the Summit joint. Also weird cause Evolve hasn't been getting big crowds their last couple shows here. I heard 150 for the last Summit one and I believe there was round 200 in Cicero and that was also piggybacking off the Brit sh*t show that evening.

I've seen them get huge draws in oak lawn...for bret hart, matt hardy, dusty rhodes, etc.
Seems like an easy show to walk into though, it's their first time there and they don't know sh*t about the building logistics. WWE is obviously funding evolve in some way too.

Gabe still living off his 'legend' built in early ROH. Dude takes credit for 'discovering' all that talent. Those guys were already out there working PWG, IWA-MS, CZW, JAPW etc. Same thing is happening now with Evolve. All these guys are working PWG, Beyond, AAW, AIW etc. Gabe's not 'finding' these guys. Anyone remember Dragon Gate USA?

DGUSA was going to be a sperate company with the best Indy guys intermixed with Dragon Gate guys. That went really well. |
