Global Professional Wrestling (GPW) Results From The Posen Civic Center In Posen, IL, From Saturday Night, June 1, 2019:
Johnny Wild & Gorilla Unit (Metal Head, Sweet T, & Cypher) interrupted Kenton’s Corner to verbally run down Global Professional Wrestling & called out GPW General Manager Steve Ahrendt. Wild declared that corporate was displeased with Ahrendt’s physical contact with Metal Head last month. Ahrendt & Wild made a bet with one another. Ahrendt assigned Metal Head to compete in a Gauntlet scenario against 3 opponents in 3 separate matches. If Metal Head wins all 3, Metal Head will earn a match against Steve Ahrendt 7/5. If Metal Head loses any of the matches, then Johnny Wild would be forced to leave GPW. One step further, if Metal Head wins 7/5 as well, Ahrendt must relinguish his position as General Manager to Johnny Wild.
Sweet T w/Johnny Wild defeated NBK partially due to Wild distracting the official and Sweet T spitting tea in the eyes of NBK.
Metal Head w/Johnny Wild beat Ryan Matthews in the first match of the gauntlet. Metal Head blasted Matthews with a steel rod to the ribs after the match.
Fester defeated Cypher w/Johnny Wild by tap out submission.
The Haters (Hater Hardcore & Hater Impact) beat Spirit Of Detroit (Jontae Keith & Cassidy Keith). Ahrendt welcomed the Haters back to GPW after the bout, despite their obvious resemblance to Pauly Thomaselli & Hardcore Craig.
Jack Moody w/Meg Money defeated Hobo Prince Bugs Moran
Jake Andrews beat Professor Alexander Bernadino PHD & Kalmar The Raider in a Triple Threat Match to earn a shot at the GPW Heavyweight Championship later in the evening.
Metal Head w/Johnny Wild defeated GPW Battle Royal Champion Amazing Turtle in the second match of the gauntlet. Originally, Ahrendt selected Steve Boz, but Boz was convinced to pursue other objectives by Wild. Due to Turtle’s injury suffered in this particular bout, he relinguished the GPW Battle Royal Championship to whomever would win the battle royal later.
Bruz Brothers (Superstar Steve Boz & Prince Of Pro Wrestling TJ Steel) w/Kimzilla won the GPW Tag Team Championships by beating Urban Country (Brawler Jay Kross & Willie The Bomb Richardson) partially due to Spirit Of Detroit’s Cassidy Keith distracting the official long enough for Jontae Keith to hit a low blow on Jay Kross.
Miranda Rites retained the GPW Ladies Championship by defeating Heather Reckless by tap out submission.
Tom Heisman retained the GPW Vision Division Championship by beating Mitch Blake in a Lumberjack Match when Cypher interfered and hit a chokeslam sending Blake off the top rope down to his demise.
Metal Head defeated All Day Marshe Rockett in the third match of the gauntlet by using his steel plated mask. After the bout, Ahrendt proclaimed that he would not answer the challenge 7/5 due to the way Metal Head won the bout. Gorilla Unit (Cypher, Sweet T, & Metal Head) attacked, beat down, and laid out GPW General Manager Steve Ahrendt. Johnny Wild vowed that Ahrendt would have to compete 7/5 against Metal Head as part of the bet.
Dark Harlequin Zamiel retained the GPW Heavyweight Championship by beating Jake Andrews
Kalmar The Raider won the GPW Vision Division Championship by defeating Tom Heisman during the GPW Battle Royal Championship Match when Mitch Blake eliminated Kalmar who incidently landed on Heisman outside the ring and pinned him on the floor. Recently, it was declared that the GPW Vision Division title is on the line throughout the entirety of GPW events from start to finish.
Sweet T won the GPW Battle Royal Championship by last eliminating Mitch Blake. Other participants included Bugs Moran, Jay Thunder, Cypher, TJ Steel, Steve Boz, NBK, Willie Richardson, Prof. Bernadino, Tom Heisman, Jay Kross, Kalmar The Raider, & Fester.
