Global Professional Wrestling (GPW) Results From The Posen Civic Center In Posen, IL, From Friday Night, July 5, 2019:
James Brady, Blake 182, & Big T wrestled to a No Contest in a Triple Threat Match when members of the Gorilla Unit, Sweet T & Cypher, ran down and interfered. Big T was offered a spot in the Gorilla Unit.
GPW General Manager Steve Ahrendt assigned Amazing Turtle Mike Brennan as the Interim GPW General Manager for the night, since Turtle was still recovering from his injuries the previous month & Ahrendt had a match later in the evening.
Fester defeated Sweet T w/Johnny Wild by tap out submission.
Urban Country (Jay Kross & Willie Richardson) beat Spirit Of Detroit (Cassidy Keith & Jontae Keith) in a Chicago Street Fight. After the bout, Spirit Of Detroit attacked Urban Country and issued a challenge to a Detroit Rules Tag Team bout next month.
Jack Moody w/Meg Money defeated Ryan Matthews
Kalmar The Raider retained the GPW Vision Division Championship by beating Tom Heisman
Steve Ahrendt retained his position as GPW General Manager by defeating Metal Head w/Johnny Wild partially due to interference by Amazing Turtle. Gorilla Unit attempted a beat down to Ahrendt after the match until Mitch Blake made the save.
Bruz Brothers (Steve Boz & TJ Steel) w/Kimzilla retained the GPW Tag Team Championships by beating Jake Andrews & Professor Alexander Bernadino PHD as a result of a Disqualification when Jack Moody interfered. Moody & Andrews attacked Bernadino after the match and issued a challenge to the Bruz Brothers to another tag team title match in the future.
Savanna Stone & GPW Ladies Champion Miranda Rites wrestled to a Double Disqualification when the official stopped the bout as both competitors refused to listen to the official’s instructions on bringing the action back into the ring.
Mitch Blake defeated Cypher w/Johnny Wild in a No Disqualification Match. Gorilla Unit attacked Blake after the match. Ahrendt & Turtle attempted a save but were beaten down too. Eventually, the lights turn off and turned back on with the return of Beau Tatum in the ring. Tatum fought off members of the Gorilla Unit to protect Blake, Ahrendt, & Turtle from further harm.
Marshe Rockett won the GPW Heavyweight Championship by beating Zamiel.
GPW Battle Royal Championship Match ended in a No Contest with the title being declared vacant. A masked man last eliminated Sweet T to become the champion & revealed himself to be Amazing Turtle. Johnny Wild declared that Turtle could not participate in the bout due to him not being medically cleared from injuries the month before, & GPW General Manager Steve Ahrendt stated that the title will be vacant until the Battle Royal next month. The participants included Tom Heisman, Ryan Matthews, Amazing Turtle, Prof. Bernadino, GoBaldi, Fester, Jake Andrews, Kalmar The Raider, Steve Boz, TJ Steel, Cypher, Big T, Metal Head, & Sweet T.
