Thanks JTB.
Fatu no-showed for the main event, but Mance Warner got a decent pop and then he won the belt as the payoff for the no-show. I would have liked to see Fatu, but it was okay.
No announcements were made before the show and no refunds were offered. I guess the promotion felt the title change sent everyone home happy.
This was a full house and the crowd wasn't obnoxious. I'm glad that I went because I live near 115 Bourbon St. but something has always come up for past AAW shows.

Both that Fatu no-showed (he’s done it before) and that AAW didn’t announce it. Both sides were promoting the match on Twitter this week. If there was a change, it should’ve been announced. Unless of course, this was the plan all along. Nobody is saying anything right now. I’d rather they’d be upfront about a change instead of making everyone wonder what happened. Celebration: Mancer’s promo:

A friend of mine asked the promotion about Fatu having a merch table and was told something like "Some of the wrestlers will have tables". Was it a coincidence that Fatu's named wasn't mentioned in their reply? I don't know.
I would probably have gone anyway but it would have been nice to talk to him about seeing his father, The Tonga Kid, and his trainer Rickishi originally with the Samoan Swat Team.

He’s a heck of a talent, but he’s not helping himself with the no-shows. People get hurt & have travel issues all the time. Just explain the deal & be upfront. We get it. Not that hard. That was what I was wondering. Good to have clarity.
