So somewhere between Lake & Madison on State Street in Chicago, car traffic will be closed and you get to see the Freelance trainees do their thing. Neat.
Hopefully, Mayor Lightfoot will make an appearance as a special guest.

According to loopchicago.org, both Freelance sets will be between Lake & Randolph on State Street, so probably in front of the Chicago Theater & ABC7 or right next to it.

Feel bad for the wrestlers missing a payday today. But a lot of lessons can be learned here:
1) Don’t ever advertise a show as “rain or shine” if you’re not absolutely sure the show is going off.
2) Don’t ever advertise a show as “rain or shine” unless you’re willing to pay for the surgery of any wrestler who gets hurt. That doesn’t apply here, but it’s good to take wrestler safety in account.
3) If the organizer cancels the show, the promoter needs to inform the fans ASAP on social media, not nearly 30 minutes after the announced start time.
4) See 3), but if the promoter cancels.
Appreciate the apology. I was able to go home on a CTA transfer, so it saved me a few bucks. The street fest was kinda dead, but at least people were out again. Nice to see.
