Show was ok. Nothing ridiculous in terms of high spots. The crowd didn’t arrive until later and even then there was a small section of empty chairs near the entry way.
I didn’t care for the format of the tourney, with three 4-ways and Masha vs. Manders, which was about as good of an inter gender match as I expected considering the size difference. Masha takes quite a beating, but I didn’t by her comebacks or pins because of the size difference. At least she didn’t try multiple power moves that looked unrealistic.
Ego cut a face promo saying he was gonna win for Jim, but crowd kept him heel and he played into it. First match was ok but I didn’t think Isaiah Moore should’ve eaten the pin. He’s far too athletic and impressive for mid card.
Crowd loves Mancer and Silas still got it.
I thought the Gnarls/Something/Tankman/Alonzo match was very good. A lot of size and they used it well.
The Outrunners oversell so much. I guess it beats no selling. They’re about four decades too late with their long hair & Miami Vice look.
Shazza was unadvertised. I’m not into Sierra much. Short and painless match.
Nobody expected Ren to beat Vega and that tamped down on the heat. Bravo was all over the place on this card and his promos are not Joey Eastman-level.
Main was fine. Jimmy D announced it as a first pin/sub wins then it became an elimination match after the first pin. Came down to Mancer and Ego. The “Joliet Sucks” chant was a bit harsh.
Alive tapings were fun. One trios team gave out leis.
Maddie Lee is super tall. Still green, but at least she’s traveling and getting work. Not bad for such a short time in the biz. Couldn’t tell what else she can do in a trios match. She graduated from Black and Brave.
Savior Ali had really good intensity and athleticism and I want to see him again.
