PWP Fans - there are exciting things on the horizon to say the least!
We will ring in the new year on Saturday, January 14, with our first show of '06 - Year of the Phoenix.
We are pleased to announce the main event, which is sure to be a classic, and here it is:
Because Hype Gotti got the winning pinfall in last month's amazing main event matchup at Here Comes Sonjay Claus - he has earned another shot at Payday Patterson's PWP Heavyweight Championship. However, since Payday has defeated Hype in the past, while Hype has never beaten Payday - the champion has demanded some very interesting stipulations for this time around. The title will be defended in a 2/3 falls matchup - but this will be a very unique match to say the least. The first fall will be a submission match (and will be the very first match of the evening) - the second match will be a Lumberjack match (which will follow intermission) - and should there be a need for it, the third match will be a Falls Count Anywhere bout (as the final match of the night). However, PWP officials have made the following addition - if Payday Patterson is able to beat Hype 2 straight falls, thus not needing the 3rd match, he must then defend his title against Hype's partner, Babyface. There are so many possibilities that could take place, but its definitely safe to say, that this will be a VERY action packed evening, brought to you by the premiere wrestling company in the mid-west today, Pro Wrestling Phoenix!
