Definitative answer, the liason for boxing & wrestling regulation in the Dept. of Financial & Pro Reg says they don't regulate man vs. bear matches. If it is illegal, it would be up to the local authorities to step in.

WHy the f**k are we even discussing this? It's a stupid gimmick to have people come watch a show with workers that (aside from Moore) no onbe really knows. Anyone remember the WWA Jello match feud on the old board? Case in point...this is even more riddiculous than that. Anyone who goes to this ludacris event is really missing the boat on some REAL wrestling in the area.

I've seen a bear match on some old wrestling from the 50's. Unless the bear doesn't have a muzzle on don't expect a good match. Contrary to popular belief bears are heavy into the old southern style matches and don;t do too many high risk moves. Bears, much like King Kong Bundy, don't like to job to indy guys.
Okay back to reality: If you see the movie Grizzly Man (and I strongly recommend it) there's a fight between two bears in there and during the fight one bear just releases during the fight. It made me laugh like a grade schooler.

The difference between this and Jellogate, is the fact that WWA put the Jello match above anything on their show.

Seriously, if you booked Albert, I'd just advertise that.
It's about time a fed started booking to the gay community.

Talon...chill. The reason this is being discussed is that a question was raised about it. I'm NOT endorsing the man vs. bear match idea however, and I'm gonna be moving away from ringside when the bear comes out.
Tracy Smothers wrestled a bear many years ago, match was aired on episode of Pro Wrestling This Week program hosted by Joe Pediceno & Gordan Solie.

Joey, Actually they tried not to. THe posters that were made did however detour he real matches, but was not the intent.
