when are you guys gonna learn that central illinois wrestling will never get respect from chicago.. cause they are the high and mighty. since we arent 6'4 and 245 pounds of pure ripped muscle it means we dont know how to wrestle.. having huge muscles doesnt mean you know how to wrestle. but it sure makes for a good promo pic and/or flyer.. and no that was not a shot at anyone on the flyers from earlier.
although i have worked some chicago talent that has been more lost inside the ring than damn near anyone i have ever worked.

I guess I'll chime in, everyone else has.
I like Bret, I'm on the wagon with him, and I think he will shine up here in Chicago. Kyle Rich is another one. I do think he has the tools, but he needs to work on his look. I saw the one match between those two, and I was blown away. The problem however, is that they looked like kids doing these moves. Should that take away from the match, f**k no......does it, yup.
Lets not forget about my personal "pick to click" in Chicago this year, The Mississippi Madman. I promise you, this guy will be a star.
Looking at that poster, I got a little chuckle. Dennis Devine is no Lucas, but then again, Lucas is no Lucas sometimes. Those 2 guys from Decataur are poo. Brett has the makings to be a young Matt Sydal, he just needs to work some talent like a Matt Sydal.
Chicago guys look like workers. I think that is a given, but you also have to remember, Chciago guys have been doing this a hell of a lot longer than the Peoria guys. I say give them a chance, lets see what they can do up here. I'm all for bringing some of these guys up here to work some of our talent. I must ask this question however, and I dont want to come off like a dick, because I in no way want to, but who trained the the Peoria guys

How big is he can he move for a big guy. Whats his deal.....
Every guy and girl on those flyers and those rosters for that matter have been trained by quality workers, did u not see the poster they had Eric Priest worked WWE, Danny Daniels worked ECW, Ryan Boz NWA/IWA, Steve Boz worked WWE, Monte Brown-TNA, Steve Corino AWA/ booker for ZERO-1 JAPAN, CW Anderson AWA/ ZERO-1 JAPAN, Jt Wolfen worked TNA and Buddha AWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, Nickie Sixx AWA, Jimmy Jacobs ROH, , Great Mailki AWA, Venom who's not featured Harley race and Noah Japan and so on they all feed from many good trainers or are trainers themselves. These guys would blow any of you's away. So i dont want here that 8ullshit about there just good to look at.
"I touch myself", who from chicago did you work and I think I already know back when NGW was using WWZ guys, Getting lost in a match to me means you pre scrpited a match prior, if they were lost did u take over and recover and make the match a success or did you let it fail because they were lost. Thats the difference between being trained by quality trainer other than teaching yourself.

aparently you didnt read the part about THIS IS NOT A SHOT ON ANYONE IN THE FLYERS...
as far as training goes its not that easy to get to priest or danny or randy or anyone else every week when you live 3+ hours away. do i wish i did live close enough that it wouldnt cost me a fortune before i even started the training with them? every single day i wish that. but right now i cant. i'm working on finishing college before i really start to focus on what i want.
i'm not going to list any names of those people that got lost because to me not burning bridges in this business is very important. i dont take it like life and death like some people. i love what i'm doing and enjoy all the people that i meet.
and getting back to the bodies thing.. i would take chris hero over ALMOST everyone on that list.
now getting back to the original post i havent seen all these guys work. but the ones i know most of them can work. they do just lack the look... but lets face it a look doesnt come over night. it takes a lot of time to really build muscle unless you want to go the injection route and i really dont want to do that. i hope you can respect that i want to go the natural route at building muscle.. might take a little more time but i'm willing to wait.

I respect that. Finish school and go the natural route. But remember, when you put out a flyer calling yourselfs professional wrestlers look the part. Its the whole "professional" thing. People dont want to see their next door neighbor in the ring. Thats why they pay money. To see people who don't look ordinary.

i get that.. but theres alot of people that i would look at in wrestling that i wouldnt think are pro wrestlers if i saw them walking down the street.
although i dont agree with the people pay money to see people that dont look ordinary.. i pay to watch wrestling. i dont care what the people look like if they are solid in the ring and tell a good story i'm entertained. i think the wrestling should be more important than what the person looks like. but thats just my opinion.. and everyones opinion can be different

one match at this show will be Brett Gakiya vs Kyle Rich vs Ryan Phoenix.. and if you have seen and enjoyed brett and kyle then ryan phoenix is just as good if not better than both. should be a fantastic crusier match.

I was just asking who do you have as trainer I know of two guys who are qualified in the likes of Apocalypse and Chris Hazard..
With that said right there YOU ARE A OK WITH ME, thats what I was focused on when I first started working. GET THAT DEGREE BROTHER, I have BA as well, wrestling can be a career for some but not most, its rough. School is so important. In todays society you need a college education to make it anywhere.

yeah i was trained by Apoc. mostly although its kind of a trained by commitee. i've also attended camps and listened to every word vets have told me backstage at shows. vets like danny daniels, nigel mcguiness, colt, sydal, jerry lynn, and others.

Here we go again Chicago feds bashing on Central IL feds. So here's my 10 cents (b/c my 2 cents is too cheap for you) on it. Bret can go with ANY of the highflyers in Chicago...bottom line! As far as the fed -v- fed thing, Chi-town workers do come down this way on occasion. Then again, some of them ask for too much, want a ride there & back & still be paid the same, or end up calling saying they're lost 20 min. before the match. Want the stories? Ask some promoters.
I get so sick of this debate, what's next, an anti- SCW thread? Please! Some of the feds outside of Chicago draw alot better than some of the feds in the city. To have a Chicago fed boast drawing 200 in a city of 2,862,244 is ludacris when you consider tat less that 1% of the population is going to your shows. Drawing 200 in Springfiled is better b/c their pop is 114,738 & Peoria is 112,720. So if you all really want to be technical, a fed that draws 200 down here is actually drawing more of the population this doing better. The best drawing fed per popluation was RCW drawing 400 to a show in a town of only 9,584...now THAT'S a draw! Until you're drawing more than maybe 2% of the population...let it go already!
