I think by sleeper match he mean that it will be better than anyone thought, much like a sleeper pick in a draft.

Unless "sleeper match" is a good thing, but I don't think it is. Dan Lawrence. You will hear this a lot. A sleeper is, according to the dictionary, a noun meaning an unexpected hit. It's not a match that stands out amongst other big matches but has the chance to blow the roof of the place. It was a compliment son. |

Larry, I thought a "sleeper" was when you wrap your arms around someone's neck, cut off the circulation to their brain, and put them to sleep.
My familiarity with sports lingo, aside from wrestling, isn't all that great. I guess I am buying you a shot after all.
