Y'know, a few months ago, I was hoping that the Midwest X-champ would get a shot at the TNA X-title, but that was when the champs were Sydal and Joe respectively. Now that it's Jaysen Strife and Christopher Daniels, I'm less enthusiastic about that idea. But it still might be neat at some point down the road.
I wonder about Joe vs Skullcrusher. The closest thing I can think of that I've seen is Joe vs Tank, which wasnt that hot. But I still have hopes that this match could be really fun. And it'll be nice to see Boz again.

I heard that there will be a 3-Way for the X-Division belt with Jaysen Strife, Matt Sydal and Alex Shelley (I think).

I dont think Sydal and Shelley have earned a shot for the Midwest X-belt. I think they need to have a #1 Contenders match 1-on-1 to determine who faces the champ. todd

It seems to me that this might be a test run for a possible TNA House Show in the future, with Abyss and Joe confirmed and talk of Alex Shelley. I really hope that it draws big for Ed and NWA Midwest in general.

This show is going to be huge, and yes XWF, it may be the start of something great. We have a lot of new faces on the show. We have TV commercials running during Raw and TNA in the Schaumburg area, so be on the look out for those.
I may be wrong, and since I am not the booker, I may be out of the loop on this, but as far as I know, May 6th will be the NWA Midwest debut of
Mississippi Madman Alex Shelley WCPW Leauge Champion Acid Jazz New NWA Midwest X champion Jayson Strife and a few others.
I got a tape of British Commonwealth Champion Karl Anderson last night. Why he is not working everywhere is beyond me. This guy is tremendous.
This show is going to set the standard for wrestling in Chicago. I want to invite everyone to see some great wrestling in Streamwood on May 6th

Complaint #1 from EVERYBODY is that the shows are severly overbooked. Just reminding them one more time.

NWA Midwest's show in January was actually the first indy show I'd been to. And now by going to several IWA, ROH, and AAW shows since then, I see the flaws of that show in January. At least storyline-wise, it all seemed very, very thrown together, and that midget beating was just BORING. Hopefully, if NWA Midwest begins to run more, the shows will be more solid. I'll be there on the 6th.

Samoa Joe, Abyss, and Alex Shelley are reason enough to make the trip out. Can't wait!
I'm on my knees begging for Sydal vs. Shelley.

Let's take a moment & clear some things up.
Matt Sydal will not be there on May 6th. He was booked for months, but he called me this weekend, and said he has a wedding in his family that he must attend. Unfortunate for us, but whatever. He's been there for us a long time, and how can we say no? We tried Delerious, and Josh Abercrombie, but they were already booked in Detroit for that date.
Yes we're running 30 second commercials on Impact, and Raw in many areas of the suburbs for this show starting with the TNA Impact show this coming Thursday on Spike TV when they move to their new timeslot of 11 pm.
Yes this is a test for running TNA shows here. We have been in contact with TNA working on the logistics for these shows such as they recently had in Detroit throughout our entire NWA territory. Speaking with buildings, sound & light companies, Com Cast cable for commercials, etc
Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson. Yup this guy is awesome. A very solid wretler. He's worked for us in the past in the short lived NWA Indy promotion. I had him come down to Nashville for two of the three shows we ran during the NWA Meetings & Convention. He opened the show each night, and stole the show each night. 25 NWA promoters wanted to know who he was, and how to book him, and that's no lie. Dave Marquez from the LA Dojo loved him so we sent him to the New Japan LA Dojo, and he's been there several months. He recently won the NWA British Commonwealth title from Fergal DeWitt who is now currently on tour with New Japan in the Orient. He will be defending that title here if he still holds it by May 6th.
Now here's the card so far.
Samoa Joe vs The Skullcrusher
Abyss vs Ryan Boz
New NWA Midwest Women's Champion Mickie Knuckles vs MsChif
NWA British Commonwealth Champion Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson vs Pepper Parks
4 Way Elimination Match for the NWA Midwest X Division Title with champion Jasin Strife defending against Acid Jazz, Brandon Tomaselli, and TNA's Alex Shelly
Also on the show
The "Missisippi Madman", K C Jackson, Jason Dukes, Corporal Robinson, Hardcore Craig, "Team Underground" Eric Priest & Chandler McClure, Tyler Black, Marek Brave, Ricky Thomas, Estaban Molina, Deranged, Carmine DeSpirito, and Michael Starr
