IWA Mid-South returns to the Streamwood Rec Center located at 777 S. Bartlett Road on Thursday night, May 18th.
We have a huge main event lined up for this event. It will be a first time meeting between two men that have given their bodies to this business.
The homicidal, suicidal, genocidal international superstar SABU will take on one of the craziest and most hardcore extreme wrestlers in the world today, the 2003 KOTDM winner and current JCW heavyweight champion: Mad Man Pondo. This will be Sabu's last appearance in IWA and one of his last indy appearances before joining WWE.
Pondo has just returned from a very successful tour of Japan and has dreamed of getting this matchup for 10 years. Pondo has battled the likes of Ian Rotten, Axl Rotten, Too Tuff Tony, Rollin Hard, Corporal Robinson, Ox Harley, Sandman and all the top death match guys in Japan but he has never faced anyone quite like SABU. SABU has battled with some of the same people such as Ian and Axl Rotten and the Sandman but also Terry Funk, Cactus Jack and several others but has never seen the likes of Mad Man Pondo. The match will finally take place in Streamwood and the building may not be ready for what these two have in store for it!!!
Also on the card will be El Generico and "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen.
