Logan Lanes and Budweiser presents Powerhouse Wrestling's return to Lincoln (IL) on July 29th as part of Logan Lanes' "Summer Bash". This outside event starts at 4 p.m. and admission is [glow=green,2,300]FREE![/glow]
Logan Lanes is located on 1700 5th St., Lincoln IL, 62656.
On July 29th, Powerhouse Wrestling Board of Directors will be making the announcement as to who will be Mr. Skip's replacement as Powerhouse Commissioner!
Scheduled to appear: Rudo Cortez, Beast, "Hype" Jimmy Shalwin, "Old Timer" Jeff King, Adam Evans, Frankie the Face, Reid Reign, Jonny Lawless, Botch, Diego Corleone, Powerhouse Cruiser Cup '05 winner "Golden Boy" Mike Horning & Tony Rican!

Now this would have been a awesome.. Sonny Rogers Retirement show....
you could of had Sonny Vs. Tim Lyle.... That would of been perfect... But this still sounds like an awesome show....

Funny you mention this. It's in the works that Sonny will be making his final appearance in a Powerhouse ring in October. Sonny deserves better than what he was given as a "special night" last Saturday and we'd be honored to do so. |

I don't know if it would sell out a building or not, but seeing Sonny in a Powerhouse ring one last time would be awesome. For those who have followed both Powerhouse and Sonny for many years, it would be a fitting end to a storied career.

That's why we're talking about waiting until October in Marseilles, Starman. It would be lost on a Lincoln crowd since Sonny's never worked there, but fans in the Marseilles, Streator, LaSalle, Peru and Ottawa areas are very familiar with him. Still not sure who he's working...ahh Hell, let's just job Sonny out to the Dancin' Machine that night. ;D |

Maybe you could find a trainee, Tobi. Someone who probably won't be wrestling by this time next year. Someone who no one has ever heard of. Someone who no one cares about. Oh, wait, that's already been done. Never mind.

Tobi... thanks alot for giving this guy a Proper Send Off....
And Tobi it wasn't just one Fed that did him wrong lately....
Theres a couple feds that i won't name, that really gave him the shaft. And its a shame....
i really thought the whole Damn City would Cave in trying to give this guy a real retirement.
But i was wrong. This business Tobi is gonna have a rude awakening, when guys like Sonny Rogers retires and doesn't come back.
The Sonny Rogers's of this business ,The Tim Lyle's, The Flairs, The Old Timers are very important...
WWE is just starting to realize it also. that Old not always means thats its a bad thing...
Look at all the familiar crap thats coming back such as DX....
Its amazing how many people still remember DX, im surprised it wasn't too out dated....
However if you look at the stands its most of the guys in their 30's and 40's that are holding up the signs for DX....
Michael Hayes said it best... "These Snot Nose Young Guys don't know a damn thing..."
i always hear everyone say... "well its not your grandfathers wrestling anymore.." And my answer for that is, Well you might wanna think about chasing out all the old guys, cuz the old guys are what made it possible for all these young guys. And thats why wrestling is in such a downward state.
just making conversation... no big deal really... Just irratates me to see these young people destroying this wonderful business....
The main point, thanks to you and Tim for Sonnys great Night....
The man really deserves it....

thank u all for the accolades and i am truly looking 4ward to the october date in marseilles. i hold no bitterness towards Pro Championship Wrestling, it's their company and they can operate it anyway they please. remember the word SYMPATHY, in the websters dictionary is somewhere in between the words sh*t and SYPHILLIS. unfortunatly i will not be able to attend the 7-29 event in lincoln because i committed to a 7-29 show in summit for chicago all star wrestling in which i will be in a special ref appearance or something like that.  |
