There have been a few wrestling shows in Danville in the past 5 years. Windy City ran at the David S. Palmer Civic Center/Arena. Shows have also been done at the Laura Lee place.
Danville is where I grew up. I have tons of friends still there that will call me up and ask me about the NBWA and this is what I tell them. Don't waste your time. There are a couple good workers from Chicago that they bring in, but the rest is no good. And I've seen some of these kids work. No good. Now maybe, they are trying to get trained to someday be good, but until then, they should stay out of the ring at shows because they're going to get hurt or hurt someone else (which has all ready happened!). It is not wrestling to me.
No, I'm not a worker. I've never been trained. But I have been around wrestling for quite some time. And I know what trained vs. not trained looks like. I know backyard wrestling. And I know of these guys working the shows. I have no doubt in my mind that if any of the show that were ran a few years ago were ran now that the NBWA would be hurt. These promotions had talent, skill, looks, and training. Comparisons to the workers then to the NBWA would just be ridiculous (besides Willie).
They are lucky enough to have a promoter that bought them a real ring and who will shell out tons of money to bring names in to try to make their talent look good. And to draw crowds.
Those are my thoughts. I hope I provided some insight.
Take care. Be careful.

Hurt Someone Else? Who have we hurt?
If we are so awful why do these guys keep coming back
Why do we keep drawing crowds?
Your lil opinion is nice and all, but lets be honest you said so yourself... you have "been around wrestling" hell i have a nephew that watches it every monday I guess he has "been around wrestling" as well, doesnt make him an expert...
If we are so awful. PLEASE SOMEONE ASK TEAM DAMMIT, ADAM EVANS, HARKER DIRGE, and DIEGO CORLEONE.... WHAT IN THE HELL ARE THEY DOING WORKING FOR US?!? WHY DO THEY KEEP COMING BACK TO WORK FOR YARDERS... PLEASE SOMEONE>
I would also like to know where you bashers come from.. I mean seriously we have these people that show up on this board bashing us... and its their very first post!?... Where did you come from? Or are you someone else that has been here already, figured it would be cool to make up a new name an go Fed Bashing? It seems Pro Boards at a bunch of newbies, who flock to our post....
Fact Remains... October 29, in Danville... Digital City will be packed, and NBWA will be in action. And there is really nothing that can be done to stop it.....

I can understand your frustration PT, as NBWA has been criticized rather harshly in the past on the board. But I feel your 'lil opinion' remark was sarcastic and unnecessary. I didn't detect anything overly harsh in A86's comments. Certainly nothing I would consider bashing. It's one person's opinion.
Amanda86 has been a member of this board since early Dec. of last year. Since you brought up concerns of multiple accounts made by the membership in order to bash, I checked the IP addy and no one else here is currently using that number.
Don't try and change people's minds with debate on the board, it won't work. Change it with quality matches that will silence the naysayers.

Thats fine but I don't appreciate the instigation that we have hurt, or have been hurt in the ring due to skill? That is uncalled for, and holds no merit at all. No one.. No One has ever been hurt in an NBWA ring.

' No one.. No One has ever been hurt in an NBWA ring.'
Until A86 can prove the 'hurt in the ring' allegation to be fact, you have nothing to worry about.
It's your word against theirs and the burden of proof lies on them since they made the claim.

Okay...After reading some of the crap that all these so-called "know it alls" have posted...I have one thing to say to you
You've obviously never been to an NBWA show to see what kind of pure heart and talent we actually have before you raise your judgments on us...
Sure, we may be a bunch of "skinnies", but everyone knows that it's a process of building a body...
And as far as anyone being hurt in the ring-like Train said-it's never happened...We train week after week after week...and we don't put on shows for slack-jawed idiots to call us "yarders" and tell us we have no clue what we're doing in the ring...
Come down and see a show and then we'll see who leaves dumbfounded

First of all everyone has a opinion about NBWA and how it is ran. I love the shows that the company puts on. They don't have a big fan base for no reason. What backyard show do you see bring 300 or more people to a show??? None. The reason that the company is still around is b/c the company is successful. The reason people talk so much trash on hear about the company is b/c they are noticing that they are taking off and that they are doing it with wrestlers that are 150 lbs and they are jealous. I think everything about the company is great. The story lines, the talent (lets face it some wrestlers can't pull off a 630 like decobra or a tight rope leg drop like dangerboy). Another reason people don't like it is b/c it is fresh and it is a new stlye of professional wrestling. People are growing bored watching huge men (that are so buff they can't breath) come out and do a ten min match of submissions. Pleople want to see high flying moves, hardcore matches, charater that are hilarious and interact with there crowds....And with NBWA you get all that in the 2 to 3 hours that you are there. Ask yourself do you call them yarders b/c they are small or b/c your jealous of the ability that they have??? Good Question huh?

I would simply like to post that I have been on hand for the last two cards the NBWA has put on and both were very entertaining.
I don't understand the reasoning behind trying to cut down a promotion in the ways done here but it at best shows a lack of credibility. Especially in bringing up injury "incidents" without any proof. A sad commentary indeed.
The lineup for this particular card looks to be a lot of fun to watch. If you have a personal problem with someone in the promotion, well, there will be nothing I can post that would make you want to come out to the show.
If you enjoy wrestling presented by a fine bunch of individuals who are willing to work very hard for your entertainment dollar, then this card is for you.

Three new accounts and all three pertain to this (NBWA) thread. Thanks for your unbiased opinions!

Ahh come on now Ducetrey... I figured if no one else was playing fair why should we, so i invited anyone from myspace who had an opinion on nbwa to come and express that opinion its only fair. Besides myself and Diego, we were the only 2 people affiliated with NBWA on this website... I figured why not invite some other people who might have an opinion... I openly invited all 614 friends we have to post positive or negative things
Tittie- is one of our commentators and has been with NBWA from day one
TallyBoyz- are referee's that we have had for a couple months, and they have worked other promotions
Eric Loy is a respected radio personality in the Central Illinois area, who is very respected among sports broadcasters. You can hear him on News Talk Radio 1400, He does all the Illini post game shows. He is a new fan, who has caught two of our shows..
Just trying to even up the sides... Not fair to stand at the firing range alone.

Three new accounts and all three pertain to this (NBWA) thread. Thanks for your unbiased opinions! You are welcome. It's the first time there has been anything interesting enough for me to post here. I've been watching professional wrestling since the days when Bruiser's group ran Centennial high school here in Champaign. I enjoy well-produced professional wrestling cards, I have enjoyed the two shows I have seen from NBWA. Perhaps I would enjoy watching yours or others' promotions as well. You are certainly invited to come to this area and put on a card.

I like the idea of getting Pro NBWA folks to join in the discussion and 'even out the playing field'.
I've tried in the past to get Storm and Blaze to gaher up some pro CCW folks in the past without much success. Because of their lack of participation, CCW has hardly any presence at all on this board and that's a shame.
If everyone can remain calm and keep the discussion respectful, this could morph into an interesting thread. Start with the sh#t talking and I lock the topic...carry on.

Put me in the pro NBWA side. I have been to I think 4 shows and enjoyed all of them. There are a lot of smaller guys, but there are guys with size as well. They do a great job carrying storylines from show to show. They are busting their butts trying to improve from show to show, and the fans enjoy it!

you know, everyone says something about seeing an NBWA show. I saw your match of the nights and the other poo you guys put on youtube. You guys are the drizzling shits, and you said it was your best. Everyone picked that crap to shreds because it was terrible
