SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES returns to live action on Saturday, April 7, 2007 with another huge double DVD taping at the Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago. Bell time for the taping is 3pm. Doors will open at 2pm. Volumes 9 & 10 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed during the course of the event! Tickets for the 4/7 taping will go on sale on Saturday, February 17th at the AAW event at the Eagles Club in Berwyn. Tickets will be made available online (via PayPal) beginning on Sunday morning, February 18th. We will also be accepting advance ticket orders by mail at that time. We will be offering a choice of either front row reserved seating (tickets and seats will each be numbered) at $20, or the usual general admission (rows 2 and back) at $10. General admission seating will be on a first come, first served basis, like in the past. The new front row reserved seating option offers not only the benefit of having a front row seat to all the action, but also gives those ticket holders the luxury of not having to be in line early on the day of the show to get the best seat possible. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event, but those fans with tickets purchased in advance will be admitted before any tickets are sold at the door on the day of the show. Saturday, April 7th will see the return of Amazing Kong to SHIMMER competition, as part of the Volumes 9 & 10 taping at the Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago! Kong returns from Japan to re-join the SHIMMER mix after making a huge impression back on Volumes 5 & 6. One of the most intimidating forces in pro wrestling today, Amazing Kong will once again display her talents in action against her fellow SHIMMER women on April 7th. i might make it out to this show, is any other fed running that day (ROH, IWA?)
i think shimmer should do a mixed tag tourney, something completely different. you could have...
sydal/daizee
delirious/mschif
fallen angel/danger
albright or jacobs/lacey
and a whole lotta more fun

The guys should be on the pre-show that's it.
People come to Shimmer to see great WOMEN's wrestling. Putting guys in the main show kinda kills it.

they don't have to make it a full volume though, i dont think there's ever been a mixed tag tourney before, shimmer could do this at an roh show or something

NWS in New Jesey did a "King's & Queen's Cup" mixed tag tourney this past year, and I believe it will wind up being an annual thing. There may also be a second mixed tag tourney in the works that will be held elsewhere, but it won't be in SHIMMER... we're going to stick to all women.

"The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK is coming to SHIMMER!  "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK - Height: 5'3" Weight: 117 lbs. Romford, Essex, UK. Debut: May 2001. Fans chanting "Jez is gonna kill you" is often heard during some of the best women's bouts currently held in the UK. Eden Black has been dominant as women's champion of her home promotion, Real Quality Wrestling, while also appearing for such organizations as Irish Whip Wrestling and LDN. Jez worked her way into the finals of the ChickFight 7 tournament during January of 2007, doing battle with several SHIMMER mainstays along the way, including Cheerleader Melissa, Lacey, and Daizee Haze. Black was also part of one of the first all women shows in the UK (just as the resurgence of the UK women's scene was starting to develop), the IWF Ladies Night Tournament in 2004 where she was a semi-finalist and was eliminated by Lexie Fyfe. JAZZ - Height: 5'4" Weight: 140 lbs. New Orleans, LA. Debut: 1998. One of the most accomplished American female wrestlers of the past 10 years, Jazz built her early reputation as a part of Extreme Championship Wrestling. damn jazz may be enough to bring me and my dad in. we always wanted to check out a shimmer show, mostly to meet cm punk since he's at every show and we've been dying to get his autograph for 3 years.
