Due to a scheduling conflict with the Capital Sports Arena, we have to move the January 5th date. We decided to keep the show and move it to Midlothian on short notice instead of cancelling this event. We hope that our fans can still come out and see this event.
Friday Night, January 5th, 2007 Don Preston Rec Center 14500 Kostner Avenue Midlothian, IL 8:00 PM Belltime
Main Event - Dream Match
Low Ki vs. Roderick Strong. These two men faced off in the finals of the 2006 TPI with Arik Cannon but this will be a one on one encounter that wrestling fans have asked for!
Grudge Match of Epic Proportions
Jimmy Jacobs vs. Josh Abercrombie - Josh and Jimmy were best of friends but it was Josh who sold out Jimmy Jacobs and delivered him to the BMFers on a silver platter at the TPI in order to save his light heavyweight title and his job in IWA. Jimmy Jacobs has shown up a couple of times since then unannounced looking for revenge and after the events in Rock Island, he received his job back and gets a shot at revenge in this match.
Special Challenge Match - Finishers Match
Drake Younger vs. CJ Otis - These on again off again partners will once again do battle...this time to determine who has the better finisher...CJ's Burning Hammer or Drake's Vertebreaker. They stole the show at the Strong Style Tournament with their hard hitting contest and this should be no different.

See you in Midlo! Ok...I don't understand the idea of using "dream match" here. Cena-v-Khali in a loser dies match...that's a dream match. The Rock-v-Sting...that's a dream match...Acid-vDouble M one last time...that's a Chicago DREAM Match! Grudge match of epic proportions is something I don't get either. Heyman-v-Vince would be that. VK Mafia-v- DX maybe...but yeah you get the point. I'm not saying that IWA-MS is bad or anything of that nature, but the overuse of dream match & that is just played out too much. Now I must go hype the "Dream Reunion" of The Gravediggers! ;D

I think it is being called a dream match because Strong and ki have not met one on one. Many internet fans are excited for this meeting, especially after the finals of the TPI

While this may be true, I still say that "dream match" is a bit overdone.

Now I must go hype the "Dream Reunion" of The Gravediggers! ;D If you have followed our message board, you'd see that Roderick vs. Low Ki is a match that many people have wanted to see. When Low Ki left ROH, people complained that they wouldn't get to see that matchup. Well now they can see it one on one and there is plenty of bad blood on Roderick's part after getting kicked in the eye by Low Ki during the finals of TPI. It should be very interesting to see this matchup. As for the grudge match of epic proportions, you obviously haven't seen Edge of Insanity, TPI 2006, 2nd night of the anniversary shows or the Rock Island show if you don't think that there is potential for this match to get out of hand when Jimmy Jacobs makes his official return to IWA...in the same building as Jim Fannin...wrestling his former best friend who sold him out and handed him to the BMFers on a silver platter. The grudges held in this match don't get any bigger. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this point. What makes something sound more interesting to the average fan and would make them want to come to a show? Matches that are hyped to show their importance or just a couple of names listed next to each other as opponents?

I agree there, but Dream match to the average fan would be something of WWE proportins & epic grudge match would be like Heyman, Vince, & Bischoff in a 3 way. You can hype the matches, & that's fine...but those terms are over-used.

Honestly, I thought Low-Ki/Davey Richards or Ki/KENTA was more of a dream match.

It's a dream that I do not have to drive 3 1/2 hrs to Plainfield for this show and can make it to Midlo in about 45 mins!
