We wanted to get in here and let people know that there are a couple of changes to the line up for Candido Cup.
To start off with, the SAT and All Money's Legal match will not happen due to us not being able to reach financial terms with both teams. Instead you will see the team of Elgin and Ask "Pretty Unreals" vs. "Naptown Dragons" IWA Midsouth Deathmatch Champion: Drake Younger & CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion: Vortekz
In addition, due to injury, Scott Lost has informed us that he will be unable to compete this weekend. So the team has been pulled and replacing them will be the 2005 TPI winner: Matt Sydal and former IWA Light Heavyweight Champion: Josh Abercrombie. So that means the team of Josh Abercrombie and Matt Sydal will take on the team of Low Ki and Homicide.
As many of you already know, Necro double booked himself. He said he forgot about the FIP booking when he took the booking for us due to the fact that he was on Demoral from getting his lip stitched at IWA's Texas show. Now facing Chuck Taylor night two, if he makes it past his night one challenger, will be Tank. His night one opponent will be, in a rematch in their outstanding match that they had at Phenomenal Invasion 2, PWU Champion: Devon Moore.
And for our last change in the shows this weekend... Due to transportation cost being EXTREMELY high, and due to not being able to get a hold of Davey to sure up the travel schedule before booking the flight. "The Metal Master" will be taking Davey Richards place to team with B.J. Whitmer.
Also, Night 2, we have decided to have a few matches between the losers that could create incredible matchups. Make sure you join us for both days as we honor the memory of Chris Candido.
Ticket Prices: Both Nights-$70 front row (still available), $60 second row, $50 third row, $40 GA
Single Nights-$40 front row, $35 second row, $30 third row, $25 GA
Doors open: FRI-6:30pm SAT-6:00pm
Bell time: FRI-7:30pm SAT-7:00pm
There will be a Q & A Saturday at 2:30pm at the venue. $5.00 to get you in.
OK, Richards is back, so the first round now looks like this:
Axl Rotten & Mickie Knuckles vs. Tracy Smothers & Ricky Morton
The Iron Saints vs. The Havanna Pitbulls
The North Star Express vs. 2.0
"The Pretty Unreals" Elgin and Ash vs. "Naptown Dragons" Drake Younger & Vortekz
Matt Sydal & Josh Abercrombie vs. Low Ki & Homicide
The Basham Brothers vs. Silas Young & Dysfunction
BLKOUT (Sabian & Joker) vs. Davey Richards & BJ Whitmer
Cheech & Cloudy vs. Super Dragon & El Generico
(Night 1): IWA MS Champion Chuck Taylor vs. Devon Moore
(Night 2): Chuck Taylor vs. Tank.
So they lose the SAT but add Sydal and Abercrombie. Definite upgrade, especially if Ki works a lot w/ Sydal. Tank vs. Chuck Taylor could be a good monster vs. little guy match. Saints vs. Pitbulls could steal the first round. Still looks like a great show.

Davey Richards is back on the show and "Metal Master" will now be in singles competition.
"The one thing we had the ability to fix we have. After finally getting a hold of Davey Richards, we were able to arrange travel for him. So we are back to the team of Davey Richards/BJ Whitmer. "The Metal Master" Chad Collyer will still be on the card in a single bonus match. Once again, sorry for the changes in the card. But there is nothing we can do about guys double-booking themselves and injuries. Hope to see everyone this Friday and Saturday."

I think this is being done to honor his memory, and to keep his name out there so newer fans will learn who he was.
When Regan Airport was named that, did his family make any money from it? Of course not. It's an honor is all.

I am not from your area so I do not know "Regan" but they are using the Chris Candido name to sell tickets...the TPI is the same way....Bo Bo Brazil Jr and Dick the Bruiser Jr are also the same deal....making money off of a dead man's name...it's sad
