IWA Mid-South returns to action in Plainfield, Indiana on Friday night, May 11th with an 8 pm bell time and the doors will open at 7:15 pm.
A Prelude to Death (King of the Death Matches that is)
Friday Night May 11th, 2007
Capital Sports Center
1915 Gladden Road
Plainfield, Indiana
Ticket prices are:
$20.00 Front row
$15.00 General admission
Six Feet Under (Insane Lane & Freak Show)
vs
Old & Younger (Ian Rotten & Drake Younger)
Ian & Drake were having a hellacious battle inside the barbed wire cage for the IWA Death Match title before the vicious attack by Six Feet Under as they beat on the already worn out Rotten & Younger. They held off the dressing room for several minutes before finally being tackled and held down allowing Drake and Ian to be taken from the cage. This time the door will be put on the cage to keep anyone else from getting into the cage and SMV will have to find another way to get good footage instead of taping through the open door. Ian and Drake have promised to show Six Feet Under that while IWA Deep South is a worthy sister promotion to IWA Mid-South, they would be much safer staying in Alabama than coming to Indiana and Illinois and fighting this war against us.
vs
TNA Superstar AJ Styles vs. Joker
AJ Styles placed a phone call this morning to Ian Rotten after reading the results of April Blood Showers to try to get a feel for who he might be put against in his return to the IWA Mid-South. AJ was quite arrogant and cocky in saying that he wanted a piece of Joker after reading the comments that Davey Richards had to say after the match about how good Joker is. Davey Richards said that Joker could hang with anybody and AJ Styles wants to prove Richards wrong and has issued this challenge to show that there is no one in his league let alone Joker.
vs
IWA Champ Chuck Taylor vs. Former WWE tag champ Danny Basham
Chuck Taylor was riding high after successfully defending his title twice at April Blood Showers. He went to Ian Rotten after the show was over and demanded that he be given the match against Danny Basham since Ian announced earlier in the night that it was just Danny for this show. Chuck said he hoped that going against an Indianapolis hometown guy that the crowd would NOT cheer for him as they did at April Blood Showers. He wanted to choke children and stab rednecks in the face for cheering him. He also stated that he wants to beat all the stars that the world has to offer to prove his greatness. He has toppled Low Ki, Colt Cabana, Ian Rotten, Jay Lethal, Toby Klein and everyone in between and he would be more than happy to add Danny Basham to the list of stars that couldn't topple him for the title.
UPDATED MATCHES:
MOST HATED MAN IN IWA
Tracy Smothers vs. Z Barr
These two men couldn't get a single person in Plainfield to cheer for them at April Blood Showers when they went against the popular as Hulk Hogan in 1985 Chuck Taylor. It was bizarro world in IWA Mid-South as it was completely opposite of the reactions that Chuck Taylor has been receiving in Midlothian and then at the show in Shelbyville. There was an altercation in the dressing room between Tracy and Z-Barr that carried out into the parking lot after the show as they argued over who was more hated. Tracy thought the argument was settled after he told ZBarr that he could be his daddy so he loved him like a son but ZBarr hated him for being a deadbeat dad so that proved that he was more hated than Z Barr. Z Barr retaliated by sending pictures to us to put into this thread "because no wrestling photographer has ever taken a picture of me because they say I suck so bad" so he had to produce his own pictures. I am afraid to see what these two men pull out of their bag of tricks to win the title of "Most Hated Man in IWA."
IWA Women's Title Match
Mickie Knuckles vs. Christie Summers
These two did battle in Shelbyville, Indiana in Christie Summers debut in IWA Mid-South. Christie was able to stand toe to toe with Mickie for most of the match and took a horrendous beating but kept fighting back. Mickie Knuckles was impressed by being in the ring with a woman that wasn't a complainer and that fought back and was willing to fight. Mickie asked Ian if he would please bring Christie back because she would love nothing more than to get into another fight as a "Prelude to Death" to prepare for the King of the Death Match tournament.
Old School IWA Battle
"Marvelous" Mitch Ryder vs. Flash Flanagan
Mitch Ryder and Flash Flanagan go all the way back to the KMart building days in Louisville, Kentucky circa 1997 & 1998. They are two old school IWA guys that like to beat people up and they will get the chance to do it to one another in this encounter. Will Mitch be too marvelous for Flash to handle?
