At the 14th Anniversary Show, Carmine informed the crowd that on Sunday May 27, MAW will be having their last show.
There will be no card given or talent roster listed for the show, but Carmine told us to expect some names that have passed through MAW in the last 14 years to show up again.
I will try to put a list together of some names I think might show up for the last show.

I truly do hate to hear that MAW is calling it a day. While I haven't ventured north for one of their shows in awhile, I have fond memories of visits to the Brat Stop, the beach volleyball court, the building by the airport, and most memorable, some place where I was wanded for the first time ever at a wrestling show. Also from that night was when the intoxicated young lady sitting in front of me was challenged by Jason Dukes to show hers if he showed his. He did. She did. What a night.
Thanks to MAW for allowing me to see people like Jerry Lawler, Sheri Martel, and Baron von Rashke. Lots of good times at their shows. The Hardcore Cups were great fun as well as all of the other shows I attended.

From promoter, Carmine DeSpirito -
On May 27th, 2007 Mid American Wrestling will be holding it's FINAL event aptly entitled, "The Last Dance".
The decision to end the promotion has been considered for many years. For sometime, it has seemed inevitable. There are multiple reasons why I have decided to fold MAW. Economics is one. As with many independent promotions, attendance has dwindled. It has made it very difficult to continue financially. The second reason, is that I initially promoted shows to simply give wrestlers a place to perform. When I started in 1993 other promotions were scarce. Now, there are multiple promotions in the Milwaukee area.
In 1993, at 23 years old I was a brash, young kid. I wanted to promote wrestling, turn heads and get people talking. Some would say my approach to the business was a bit unorthodox. It was intentionally controversial, but always respectful. Aside from the outrageous product, I wanted a place where a wrestler could live out their dreams, regardless of size, age or ability. In turn, I would live out my dreams as well.
I take a great deal of pride knowing that MAW has helped in producing some great stars. There are also some of which may never make it to the national scene, but are very talented in their own right. I'm extremely proud of all of them. They are all a part of MAW's legacy. I hope every wrestler that stepped through our doors are proud to say they wrestled for MAW. I, for one, am proud to have had each and every one of them wrestle for me.
Next week, I'll attempt to recap the past 13 years, and relive with you my greatest memories of MAW.
Thank you, Carmine DeSpirito Owner/Promoter Mid American Wrestling
