Not that we here at AAW give a sh*t about who came up with the name first. It was called Scars and Stripes after Tony Scarpone , but don't know where he ( or others ) came up with it . And this will be the 4th year of this ground breaking name for AAW.

i dont really see where it matters anyway.. noone that goes to aaw shows will go to/ has heard of ngw and noone that goes to ngw has heard of/ will go to aaw.. a name is just a name.. if its the name that you think is gonna sell a show then perhaps that promoter should take a second look at the product they are putting out.

No need to get your panties in a bunch , MARK. I was just stating were and when AAW started using the name. But if you want to run your mouth about pro rasslin. You have a LOOOOOOOOOOOT to learn if you think a name ( one of your bigger shows )doesn't draw people. And let's not get into a pissing contest about who puts out a better product. I'm thinking it wouldn't be much of a contest . You would win hands down of course. And if no one from Chicago is coming to your shows then why are you advertising on a Chicago message board ?

Hey, AAWstaff. Cool out. Kyle, you do the same. I can see the confusion and the tensions that could arise from it, but in all actuality, neither show will gain or lose draw power because of this coincidence.
Don't let my f*g**t ass be the mature one here. :-D

Correct me if I am wrong here, but over the past year or so, hasn't this board done a great job broadening its horizons beyond just Chicago land wrestling? I've seen both products, & to be honest....there is no comparrison. They both do there own thing & it works for them. NGW has had some Chicago peeps at their shows, & I am certain that AAW has had some central IL peeps at their shows. I'm not taking sides on this, just giving my insight on it. OH & for the record, here's another card with the same name...let's bash on them too: Next Era Wrestling presents: N.E.W. Scars and Stripes 07 2007 Sponsored By: EB Games (1649 Howard Rd.; Rochester, NY, 14624; 585-247-3370) Quality Inn at the Rochester Airport (1273 Chili Ave.; Rochester, NY, 14624; 585-464-8800) Professional Instant Press (1322 Lyell Ave.; Rochester, NY, 14606; 585-254-7275) Aaron's Alley (662 Monroe Ave.; Rochester, NY, 14607; 585-244-5044) When: Saturday, July 28th, 2007 Where: The Main Street Armory 900 East Main St. Rochester, NY 14605 Time: Doors open @ 6:30; Bell time @ 7 Cost: Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. You can also buy tickets online by visiting www.nexterawrestling.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the merchandise table at N.E.W. Supremacy 07. I don't get why shows have to be named, but if I were in charge of a fed that ran every month and needed a name for each show.....here's what it would be
Jan: Snow Storm Sing-along Feb: No couples allowed Mar: Guys in a ring Apr: We're sorry about March May: April Showers bring wrestling in May June: Flag Day Fury July: The only wrestling show on 4th of July weekend August: We're still in business Sept: Back to school sale Oct: Always playing dress up Nov: Survivor Series Dec: Haunakkah Hangover

Then the next year you could just add "Electrc Boogaloo" to each of the names. Who wouldn't want to go see a show called "Always Playing Dress Up:Electric Boogaloo"?

I'm gonna say it, what a highly original name for a show. Hey guys, you obviously haven't noticed that "Scars and Stripes" has been around and is one of our marquee shows. That would be like us calling a show Dream Night. is Legacy taken? no
