The show before the TPI is usually the lethal lottery, lots of fun. Hope they stay true to form.

IWA Mid-South returns to action on Friday night August 31st in Midlothian, Illinois. Many fans have been asking about Simply the Best 8. This show will NOT be STB. We plan on doing that show in November. This will be an outstanding show nonetheless without being either Lethal Lottery or STB. Now for some matches: Friday Night August 31st Don Preston Recreational Center 14500 Kostner Avenue Midlothian, Illinois Belltime: 7:30 pm; Doors Open: 6:45 pm Ticket prices: $20 & $15 Special offer - first 50 people to order General Admission (or buy it at the door if there isn't 50 sold before then) can get them for $10. You can paypal your ticket order to Patti at rottenwife@aol.com to take advantage of this sale! [glow=red,2,300] One of the Main Events - Grudge Match - Winner Gets Title Shot September 7[/glow] vs. B.J. Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs B.J. Whitmer has always been one of the first guys that Jim Fannin turns to when he needs something done especially since the retirement of Mean Mitch Page. BJ was a main part of The Super Heroes, Super Mean & Fannin Family and now he has perhaps his most important task yet. Win this match and keep Jimmy Jacobs as far away from the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title as humanly possibly. No matter how badly Fannin wants that title off of Chuck Taylor, he would rather Taylor hold it forever than ever see it around the waist of Jimmy Jacobs ever again. Jimmy Jacobs desperately wants to regain the title from the man that shattered his record and it would be extra sweet to do it to spite Jim Fannin. When Jimmy last held the title, he was friends with BJ and it was BJ's interference that led to him losing the title. They haven't been friends since and now it is ready to explode again as both men look for the chance to regain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title. Will B.J. be out to finish off Jimmy Jacobs once and for all? Will Jimmy Jacobs' knee be healed enough to survive this contest? Who will Chuck Taylor be rooting for in this match? August 31st will give us the answers. Tag Team Grudge Match vs. & Trailer Park Boyz vs. Milwaukee's Best Dysfunction has gotten two victories over Josh Abercrombie by chicanery and deception. It took a low blow in Midlothian and feet on the ropes in Plainfield for the former IWA Death Match Champion to best the longest reigning light heavyweight champion in IWA history. Josh has been in a slump since losing the title to Brandon Thomaselli and he is seeking to get back on track against Dysfunction. Since Dysfunction wants to cheat, Josh went out and got Nate Webb to watch his back and help him in this battle. Dysfunction turns to his tag team partner Silas Young to help him stay in the winner's column by either hook or crook. Strong Style Showdown vs. Joker vs. "Strong Style Superman" C.J. Otis Joker was on an impressive run in IWA Mid-South in the late spring/early summer but has been off for a couple of months now. He is looking to pick up right where he left off and earn a spot in the Revolution Strong Style Tournament. C.J. Otis is trying to gain momentum heading towards the Revolution Strong Style Tournament and prove that he has earned his nickname of "Strong Style Superman." Otis would also love another title shot against Chuck Taylor and an impressive victory over Joker would put him right in line for another one. We will be making more announcements for this event as soon as we get confirmation from a few more of the guys. Keep checking this post to see further updates to the show. Remember...first 50 people to either paypal for general admission tickets (rottenwife@aol.com) or if there are any left over, buy them at the door can get general admission for $10.

[glow=red,2,300]Title vs. Title - Main Event[/glow] vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Brandon Thomaselli Chuck Taylor loved having the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight and Women's Titles at the same time. He almost added the Light Heavyweight Title the last time in Midlothian. He has lost the Women's title and wants to add a second title again and he has his sight set on the title currently held by Brandon Thomaselli. Brandon would love to "Bully" his way to becoming the Heavyweight Champion if for nothing else than to not have to worry about making the Light Heavyweight weight cut off. Brandon and Chuck both have pinned Low Ki and now they want to prove who is the better man and take all the IWA men's singles gold as proof. Will they cheat each other or will there be honor among thieves? We'll find out on August 31st.

Thanks for the offer, Roy. I'm very aware of the quality of the cards that Ian & Co. are capable of putting together.
I've attended both nights of every TPI Tourney for the last 4 years and consider IWA's "Highland run" of 04 to be some of the best wrestling I've ever seen.

Its too bad this show is on a Friday night, I think getting down to Midlothian would be quite a haul from my office. But I might just try to make it.

Just added IWA Mid-South Women's Title Match
Mickie Knuckles vs. Daizee Haze
Mickie put her title on the line against former women's champion Daizee Haze. Daizee has a very good won/loss record against Mickie in the past and had several successful title defenses against Mickie during her reign. Daizee is coming back for another shot at the title and wants to show Mickie that she can play just as rough as the boys that Mickie has been fighting of late.
Light Heavyweight Action
Delirious vs. Devon Moore

Quote: IWA's "Highland run" of 04 to be some of the best wrestling I've ever seen.
Indeed the Highland shows were amazing. My first IWA show was "When Hero Met Dragon" After that show I was hooked. I havent seen better wrestling live at that point since ECW closed its doors. A bunch of morons ruined it for us by drinking in the lot of Highland and then littering; which got IWA thrown out of there. No company listens and caters to its fans more than IWA.

Man, they got 6 matches so far and each one is a potential show-stealer. I haven't seen much of Devon Moore, but I've seen enough to think he and Delirious could have a really strong showing.
