[glow=red,2,300]Simply the Best 8[/glow] Sunday afternoon, November 4th, 2007 Hartman Recreational Center 511 N. Collins Street Joliet, IL 1 pm bell time Tickets: $25, $20 & $15 NWA World Women's Title Match vs. This match will definitely be a matchup of Simply the Best women wrestlers out there today. This hard hitting contest will be the first encounter between those two and will definitely be a nice preview of what to expect the second time around in Midlothian at the Strong Style Tournament. The NWA World Women's Title will be on the line and neither of these competitors have really ever been in the ring against someone that can compare to when they meet each other for the first time! Grugde Tag Match & vs. & Ian Rotten & Sal Thomaselli vs. Vito & Brandon Thomaselli This match stems directly from the events that happened at the IWA vs. ElitePro showdown. Vito hit Ian with brass knuckles to give Brandon the win in the match and the series challenge for ElitePro. Sal sided with Ian and that led to "miscommunication" and trouble later in the night as the Iron Saints came up short in their quest to become the NWA World Tag Team Champions. Sal is out to prove that he is "everyone's favorite Thomaselli" and that he is the best Thomaselli. NWA Midwest X Division Title vs. ? ? ? ? Jason Dukes vs. mystery opponent Ian Rotten issued the challenge for Dukes after Dukes was able to get by with a lot of help from his NWA fans to retain his title at the 11th anniversary show. Who will Ian bring in to give Dukes the beating of his life especially with as bloodied and battered as Ian left Dukes at the 11th anniversary show? Whoever it is, it spells trouble for Jason Dukes. More information to be posted on this event in the coming days. If you wish to purchase your tickets in advance for this event to guarantee first row, you can go to www.paypal.com and send your payment to rottenwife@aol.com and the tickets will be held for you at the door and available for pick up will call style when you arrive.

NWA Midwest X Division Title vs. Jason Dukes vs. Corporal Robinson Ian Rotten issued the challenge for Dukes after Dukes was able to get by with a lot of help from his NWA fans to retain his title at the 11th anniversary show. Ian has decided that it will be Corporal Robinson and Dukes is in for another hellacious beating. vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Michael Elgin This match stems from the confrontation the last time in Joliet, Illinois. These two faced off with Roderick Strong in a three way dance but this time it will be one on one and Michael Elgin is out to prove that there is a new king in the IWA Mid-South strong style division leading into the Strong Style Tournament in a few weeks in Midlothian. vs. C.J. Otis vs. Deranged This is quickly turning into a heated feud. C.J. Otis called himself "The Death Match Destroyer" after competing in Kings of Extreme and well quite frankly, that pissed Deranged the f*ck off. C.J. Otis a "Death Match Destroyer" after 2 death matches? Well since he is also the "Strong Style Superman", Deranged decided that we would become the "Strong Style Kryptonite" and kick C.J.'s ass the first chance he got. They tore into each other with a vengeance at the QOTDM in an outstanding match. C.J. got the win and the spot in the SST tournament. Deranged is looking for redemption and he definitely wants to see "somebody die tonight" and that somebody is C.J. Otis. vs. Ash vs. Devon Moore Josh Abercrombie vs. Jason HadesAlso appearing, The Naptown Dragons, Milwaukee's Best and more. Is that a pic of Dukes or Playboy Buddy Rose?

That would be a pic of Playboy Buddy Rose in an effort to poke fun at Jason Dukes and hope that he will not show up out of 1) fear of Corporal Robinson or 2) shame for the fact of how unwanted he is at the show.
We don't appreciate Ed Chuman forcing us to use Dukes in order to be able to have insurance on our buildings. We are doing our part to either destroy him or shame him into not coming back.
Hopefully Corporal is successful.

I think Ray was asking who was going to be there as far as fans go. He knows the lineup as he is a friend of mine and a regular reader of the IWA board.
As I posted over on the IWA board today, since Ian is going to be at Pondo's show in WV the night of the Strong Style Tournament, this will be his last match in Chicago area for IWA Mid-South show.
Hopefully a lot of the fans turn out to see his last match in the area. Come out and cheer him or come out and boo him if you are one of the many on this board that don't like him.
I think Amazing Kong vs. Mickie is going to be one helluva match and I can't wait to see Mickie bring home the NWA World Women's Title.

Good Luck and I sincerely hope IWA packs the house for STB this year. At the risk of taking this thread in another direction, I feel I have to address your comment: That comment troubles me because I feel you are labeling this place as "anti" IWA. If I'm over reacting, please tell me so I can apologize. Can you give me a number that you consider to be "many"? I would argue there are just as many here who like what IWA contributes to the local wrestling scene. Maybe someone here should start a very simple poll: The *Do you like Ian Rotten and IWA-MS?* poll. Yes or No will be the choices. It would be anonymous of course, though people would have the option to chime in with their thoughts on the subject. If you are a closeted IWA fan, this would be your chance to represent and show your support. If you are an IWA hater but aren't as vocal as the few (as opposed to "many") critics on this board, here is your chance to vote Nay! Yup...somebody oughtta make a poll.

I don't see anywhere where he said this PLACE was anti-IWA, but that there are many posters who have posted strong comments against IWA or Ian.
Heck, many people have posted strong comments against PCW, so does that make this place anti-PCW?
I just see him challenging any anti-IWA or anti-Ian past posters to come out and see Ian's last wrestling match in the greater Chicago area and pay respect to a great wrestling figure in the Midwest.
Say what you want about IWA, but if not for that organization, I would not be attending other independent shows around Chicago if not for them.
Sorry, but I think you came off a bit over-sensitive and read into something that was not there.
Hope to see everybody in Joliet Sunday. And Crimey, if you are there, I would be honored to buy you an official IWA hot dog.

It is like Foxtrot said. I am not claiming an anti-IWA. If you look at the 13 page thread on the other board here, you will have to agree that there are "many" posters that had negative things to say about IWA and Ian...of course some of those were people associated with other groups in the Chicago area and felt the need to take shots at Ian. Fine. Perhaps we should start posting in all their threads and taking shots but we won't because that isn't how we do things. Either way, you can't deny that there are people on this board that have posted many negative things about IWA (usually every chance they get) and I was simply letting them know that they are more than invited to show up and show their displeasure with Ian as he makes his last in ring appearance in the area.

I'm glad to read that you don't consider this place an anti IWA board because I want ALL promotions in the area to feel welcome, knowing that they have a place on CPW.com. I won't deny IWA has some vocal detractors here, but again I want to accentuate the positive and remind you of all the pro IWA posts in the **IWA-MS will be closing its doors** thread.
Maybe someone more "detail oriented" than me can take on the project of reviewing that enormous thread and tallying the positive/negative comments. I just looked at the first page and out of the first 15 posts, I saw 6 positive comments and only 2 comments I would consider overtly negative.
On the bright side, the 13 page thread which was read close to 5,000 times equaled a lot of free press for IWA and that's why this message board was created in the first place.
