PCW was back in action Saturday the 18th at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora, IL. The action was fast and hardcore that night.
HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
"The Feature Presentation" Johnny Mac (c) def. Jarod Priest
Priest let everyone know that he had won the championship at Oakfest one day, but because PL Myers was the referee during the re-match, Mac had walked out of Oakfest as the champion. He called out Mac demanding a rematch, after some verbal sparring, Mac agreed to lower himself to Priest's level and "work the opening match". Priest was dominant with a power game including clotheslines, chops and headlocks. Priest got a two count with a backslide. Mac tried his own backslide, but Priest reversed it for another two count. Dazed, both men hit each other in the head, Mac fell down while Priest bounced off the ropes before he fell head first onto The Feature Presentation's groin. Ouch. When they recovered, Priest got another two count with an enziguri. Jarod backed Johnny into a turnbuckle and climbed it to start punching, but Mac pulled a fast one. He powerbombed Priest from the turnbuckle and quickly got his feet on the ropes for a three count.
"Party Animal" Wally Wilde def. J.T. Simmons
J.T. immediately endeared himself to the Aurora fans by spitting at them and jumping Wally before he made it to the ring. Simmons threw Wally into a wall and nailed him with several hard rights. Once back in the ring, Wally regained control with a body slam and clothesline. He then hit the trio of a turnbuckle body splash, the bronco buster and finally a floatover headbutt to the groin. Simmons came back to choke Wally on the 2nd rope and stomped on Wally while he was down. J.T. got several pinfalls, but Wilde kept kicking out. Frustrated Simmons grabbed his martini shaker and attempted to his Wally, but referee Patrick G, took the shaker before he could use it. Simmons then turned into the W-Factor by Wilde, who then climbed up top and hit a frog splash for the win. After the match, Simmons attacked Wilde but Wally delivered a hard chop and threw J.T. out of the ring.
Ares def. Fuzion
The masked rookie was initially dominant with a dropkick and a ten punch on the turnbuckle. He attempted a Tornado DDT, but Ares reversed, then Fuzion reversed into an arm drag. Frustrated, Ares chopped Fuzion and sent him outside the ring, where he bodyslammed the smaller man on the floor. He then sat Fuzion in a chair before hitting him with a running clothesline. The action continued in and out of the ring with Fuzion regaining brief control with a DDT. But Ares finished the match with a HARD chokeslam and a sharpshooter for the submission victory.
TAG TEAM TITLES
MIXED BREED (c) def. BODY COUNT
The crowd was really behind Mixed Breed, as Rion Skillz and Daniel Allure started things out. Allure stopped to pose on the turnbuckle, this brought in Rik Rockett who actually bit Allure's butt and even bit the ref as he tried to get the large man out of the ring. Rockett legally tagged in, and was taken out by a top rope clothesline by Santanna Starks who managed to actually bodyslam the larger man. Skillz tagged in, but missed a body splash and got taken out by a double suplex by Body Count. BC hit their wheelbarow splash for another two count. Rion managed to tag in Rockett and they both hit an atomic drop on Body Count. Mixed Breed wins with their sambo suplex/top rope clothesline maneuver. As soon as the bell rang, the Chicago Connection (Whiplash and Rick Knight) hit the ring and layed out Mixed Breed, until Rion Skillz got Rik Rockett's chain and chased them off.
During Intermission, the Butcher once again hit the ring and demanded Ares face him, saying that their feud didn't end at Dream Night. Ares appeared in the entranceway, but it was only a distraction as Body Count hit the ring and took out the Butcher. Ares directed them to hit Butcher's shoulder with his own meat tray several times before ramming him head first with his alternative title. As Body Count left the ring, PL Myers and Jay Phoenix came out and forced referee Patrick G. to start the next match.
ALTERNATIVE TITLE
"MASTER TECHNICIAN" JAY PHOENIX w/PL Myers def. The BUTCHER (c) w/the beautiful and talented Sam Hart
Butcher did his best to kick out, but in no time, Phoenix hit the spinning powerbomb and locked on his broken wing submission. Samantha Hart tried to rally the Butcher but PL Myers pulled her off the apron and threw her to the ground. Butcher passed out to pain and the ref awarded the match and title to Jay Phoenix. Post-match, Ares returned to the ring and told the Butcher that if he wanted him, Butcher and Hart would have to defeat Body Count at the next show.
C.I.A. def. "American Classic" Chris Hamilton/ Jean-Paul Bassay
Bassay was the first out and the Frenchman proceeded to question the audience as to why they suplex was not pronounced the French way (Sup-play)? Hamilton came out, then the CIA interrupted Bassay's continued attempts to get the audience to pronounce things. Hamilton never even got a chance to tag in as Damian & Diablo dominated Jean-Paul with a varitey of double team moves. The top rope headbutt and finally the eleveated neckbreaker for a win. Afterwards, Diablo suplexed Chris Hamilton and Damian suplexed Jean-Paul who landed on top of Hamilton.
Gridiron Grapplers w/December def. Chicago Connection w/PL Myers
The Heisman's took on the Connection in a brawl as soon as the bell rang. Whiplash got thrown outside and attacked by December, while Steve and Joe Heisman doubled up on Rick Knight. Knight leapfrogged over Steve, but got caught by a low kick from Joe. Whiplash returned to the ring and the Connection took a double clothesline from Joe who followed up with a running crossbody. Steve tagged in and Joe hip tossed him into a senton splash on Whiplash. The Connection rallied and began to work over Steve. Whiplash hit a leg drop before tagging in Knight and the duo hit a leapfrog back breaker on Steve. Steve and Whiplash knocked each other down and tagged in their partners. The GIG's got the win, when Joe hit a spear on Whiplash and Steve hit a reverse Unprettier on Knight. Then Steve launched Joe of the turnbuckle for a splash pin on Knight for the three count.
MIDWEST TITLE
"HOT BOD" SHAWN DAVIS(c) def. SACRIFICE
This was easily the hardest challenge of the new Midwest champion's career, as he took on the former three-time PCW champion. The two felt each other out early on with a series of holds, before Sacrifice took control with a "Mr. Perfect" style neckbreaker. Davis ran at Sacrifice, only to be backdropped out of the ring. Sacrifice ran off the apron with a diving clothesline to take out Davis. Back in the ring, Davis fought back and went for his signature top-rope elbow drop, but Sacrifice rolled out of the way. Sacrifice then went for a spear, but Davis moved and Sacrifice hit the turnbuckle. Davis followed up with some hard chops. Sacrifice hit several neckbreakers but Davis kicked out of the pin attempt. Davis reversed Sacrifice's "Roll the Dice" attempt into a backslide for another two-count. Sacrifice went for another spear while Davis was in the corner, but Davis managed to hit a floatover sunset flip on Sacrifice for the pinfall victory. Afterwards there was an awkward moment, when Sacrifice held out his hand to Shawn Davis. Instead of shaking his hand, Davis grabbed his title and held it up for all to see.
