The show started out with Studd Muffin interrupting the ring announcer and calling out his gardner Michael Lopez and berating him for training with Isias Velasquez after he set the ring up instead of doing other tasks. He decided to teach him a lesson by making him wrestle in an actual match, leading to:
Match 1- Juggalo J-City def. Michael Lopez
While Lopez had his moments, the size and experience of the Bad Dude from the Motor City proved too much. Afterward, Studd Muffin proceeded to yell at Lopez and made him go back and clean his shoes.
Match 2-Atals beat Sal DiNiro
Atals basically whipped up on his rather hapless opponent, a voice came over the PA claiming to be the REAL Sal DiNiro and warning Atlas that when DiNiro actually did show his face, it would be a BIG surprise.
After that, Frankie Valient came out in a minister's robe and brought out the Furies to preach about "The way of wrestling". Mitch Blake, still on crutches from recent knee surgery, told Frankie he could not wrestle tonight but one of the other members of the team would wrestle one of the members of the opposing team. By luck of the draw (actually Rock-Paper-Scissors) Rick Walsh got the spot.
Match 3-Isaias Velasquez pinned Squanto
A lot of move and counter between the two young promising wrestlers. The crowd appeard split between the two.
Match 4-Rick Walsh & Ovirload went to a no contest
The end came when Mithc Blake got in the ring to interfere, causing The Amazing Kuan, Ovirload's partner, to come off the top rope and onto the injured Fury. When Kuan made the mistake of checking on the fallen Blake, Blake blasted him in the midsection with his crutch, then bent it over the back of the youngster. At this point, the match was out of control and Frankie V came out to announce the "miracle" of Blake's healing.
Match 5-"The Urban American Dream" Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson def. Jordan Pryde
While Pryde was generally able to match Richardson blow for blow, it was a simple reversal of a flying cross body that gave the big man the W.
Match 6-Vigialnte beat The Amazing Kuan Via Count Out
Kuan has to be given credit for even wrestling even though he was still in obvious pain from the assault earlier by Mitch Blake who once again made his and the Furies presence felt by coming out and getting Kuan and Ovirload into a brawl on the outside, forcing the 10 count.
Match 6-Battle Royal-Vigilante
He now earns a spot in the title tournament.
Match 7-Abbadon beat Ivan Manson in a No DQ match
This match went all over the ring area and involved garbage cans, speed limit signs, golf clubs, cell phones, Studd Muffin & Cheeks Manson who came out with Ivan, and even some crowd assistance from the front row who helped Abbadon by chopping the hapless Faction member. The end came when Abbadon used a computer keyboard Manson brought in to finish the job to blast Manson and hit his finisher.
Thanks to all the fans who came out last night. We will be in Orland Park on the 31st.
