The Knights of Columbus event was a huge success. The VWAA would like to thank the KoC as well as "Good Spirits" for having us on.
The show opened to the usual VWAA theme, which was created by Joe Bernard of Dead Town Revival, and the action was unrelenting from the first bell. Actually, there was action before the bell. The Furies attacked Isaias Velazquez in the parking lot of the KoC, and no one knows what happened to Isaias’ partner Samuray, except for The Furies it seems. As a result, Isaias & Samuray were unable to wrestle in the match they were supposed to be in, which was for a seat in the VWAA Tag-Team Championship Tournament. There’s exclusive footage on the VWAA myspace page of the attack for those willing to stomach it. Lamar Titan & T.S. took the place of the fallen team of Isaias & Samuray and would eventually defeat the previously undefeated Next Wave for the coveted seat in the tag-team tournament. More importantly, there appears to be problems in the team of Next Wave. Ben Cruise began a shoving match with Jordan Pryde after their loss, and to make matters worse, fans got an eyeful of Johnny Wild whispering into the ear of Ben Cruise on his way back to the locker room. WINNERS: T and T (I just made that up, its not official.)
Next up was The Sensational C-Red with the one and only woman in professional wrestling that really matters, Dymond, in a special VWAA Mixed Tag-Team Challenge against the fan favorite team of Team K.O. For anyone that thought Dymond would not be able to carry herself in this match, they certainly had another guess coming. Most fans commented that if she had not been in the match, the team of C-Red & Dymond wouldn’t have been able to pull off the massive upset victory over Team K.O. WINNERS: Dymond & C-Red
Mexican Independence was also on the night of this VWAA event and Studd Muffin J.J. Valiant took it upon himself to celebrate with his gardener Michael Lopez with a match against Squanto. First, Valiant corrected ring announcer Daniel Zigwa for incorrect introduction stating “Its,… Being led to the ring by Groundskeeper Lopez, Studd Muffin J.J. Valiant.” Valiant further verbally attacked Lopez and even made him Mexican hat dance in the ring for his sick pleasure. The match was hard fought by both Squanto & Lopez, but in the end, Squanto pinned Lopez with a HUGE assist from Studd Muffin. (Yes, from Studd Muffin.) No one really knows what Valiant is up to or is trying to prove with the continued berating of Lopez. Only time will tell. WINNER: Squanto
Backwoods Brown made an enormous debut in Lansing against The 80’s Icon, Vigilante. Brown made it clear that he doesn’t care for the VWAA rules from the start by coming to the ring with a ½ filled bottle of Jack Daniels. He didn’t even acknowledge referee Steve Cain or the VWAA fans and simply held up in a turnbuckle corner waiting for his opponent. Vigilante came out to a surprising array of boo’s from ½ of the audience, and to his dismay, Backwoods Brown was even more relentless. Brown even mocked Vigilante saying quite loudly, “I’ve wrestled hogs tougher than you!” In the end, Brown’s disregard for the rules landed him a disqualification call from VWAA head referee Steve Cain. WINNER: Vigilante
The main event was for the final seated position in the VWAA Tag-Team Championship Tournament. The match featured the indy legendary team of NIGHTBREED against two VWAA toughmen, The Demon of Damen, Atlas & Mad Dog Ivan Manson. To add tension to this match, The Furies’ Mitch Blake, Rick Walsh & Alpha Bitz decided they’d come down to the ring and watch this one closely. This was the most, hard fought match the VWAA had seen to date. Even with the constant interruptions from The Furies, Nightbreed seemed to have the edge, however; a well-timed interference from Mitch Blake on Abaddon left a pinning opportunity for Ivan Manson. Clearly unexpected, the shaky alliance of Atlas & Manson will go on to the tournament in Crown Point, Indiana. WINNERS: Atlas & Ivan Manson
The brawling that followed the main event led directly into the VWAA Circuit Battle Royal. The final five were Dymond, C-Red, The Amazin Kuan, Ovirload & Juggalo J-City. J-City, Dymond & C-red were able to eliminate Team K.O. easily enough, but in the end, Juggalo J-City was the one to have his name added to the list for the VWAA Circuit Title. SURVIVOR: Juggalo J-City
